did everyone forgot about the Z coming to T-Mobile in US? I'm not sure if this Z is going to be the same Z from few months back with all those flaws. If this Z is comnig out after ZR/ZL/A...etc, then I would imagine there has to be some improvement to this Z.

it's the same old Z. it's just typical americans being late to the game.

Which "wait" are you referring to? Togari? Honami? Smartwatch? Vitaphone? Sony sex toys?

You may won't get a Vita OS phone, but at least you will get a new SmartWatch, which you also desired for a long, long time .

wouldn't that mean people in US are digesting the leftover old snapdragon while rest of the world including Canada enjoys S600/S800?

you know it! the Z and ZL have been available direct from Sony for a month or 2 now. US carriers tend to pick up sony phones late in the game if at all. Why? i don't know. But it's been the case for a long time now.

it's just the way it's been until Sony creates a bigger name for itself in the US, which will motivate carriers to pick up their devices sooner. Until then, US carriers will focus on the big sellers.

Indeed, can't wait to see what the smartwatch is all about! NFC will be great for pairing with various devices. I know the current watch can act as a second screen for your smartphone when taking pictures, so it's pretty much a given that feature will be in this one. I do hope that they can extend that feature to cameras though, and that next gen cameras (RX100 mk. 2?) will have NFC to enable quick pairing. Would be amazing to be able to setup your camera with you in the shot, ensure it's framed properly on your watch, activate a time delay shot, and PRESTO!

I do hope this new watch will have its own built in memory for storing anything from photos to music, maybe even videos. I'm not so sure about the idea of a camera on a watch due to how relatively crappy it'd probably be, but I suppose if they could fit a halfway decent one on there, why not.

But yeah, if they can put that 651ppi display tech to work on this thing, I'll get it without question. Just hope they have some tricks up their sleeves to allow for decent battery life in the area of 3-4 days with moderate to heavy usage. I've long thought they should have a special watch band where an expandable battery is built into the band itself. AFAIK flexible batteries are still relatively new, so maybe do segmented batteries to form the band. Such an idea could easily give several times more battery life than what they'll be able to put into the watch itself.

If the Smartwatch 2.0 is rugged and waterproof in a thin, slick design I would get one so fast.

indeed. i hope they don't try to jam too much stuff in there. a camera would be useless. having gps would be great (dunno if current one has this) for tracking runs and walks. Pedometer built in too (again, not sure if current one has this). All of which can be paired to the phone later. I love my phone, but it's a bit big to carry with on jogs and they simply don't make great arm bands for sony phones, not that i even love arm bands to begin with.

remote camera control would also be nice for taking candid shots and getting yourself in the picture too.

would love to see the revival of novelty toys that utilize the watch as a remote!
