my mistake then... where in east asia? .. from my understanding of timezones .. most everyone in the world should be starting or still be within june 24th.. it's in the evening of the 24th in the most eastern part of asia i thought.. *shrug*

You're correct, AFAIK, parts of the US are in the late evening of the 23rd and early hours of 24th, while Japan is in the afternoon of the 24th. No country is in the 25th right now.
