I'm trying not to cry, but i still can't get Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop to run on my mac (g5 os x 10.4.10) they did last week, but this week… oh dear!
so far i have:
run disk utilities from the install disk and repaired the disk and permissions
used font book to check fonts, removed corrutions and duplicates
used cocktail to clear the system cache
used preferential treatment to check all plists
chucked adobe plists
chucked adobe font list files and dbs
chucked user cache
chucked user fonts and font collections
reinstalled the software
logged out, created a test user
started in safe mode
arrrrgggghhhh! nothing has worked

front row..
on tiger you could go from whatever was playing it iTunes to front row and it would still be playing that tune.
However the new front row doesn't! you're playing something in iTunes, press menu on my remote, the music stops and i get the front row like homepage...
why oh why? can i not sort it out so it actually converges with iTunes rather than work as a separate entity?
my iTunes is on 247 and I used to often flick between desktop and front row but now that's not possible!
GRRRRR

You can watch DivX movies in QuickTime Player - just install the free Perian:

Hi guys! I have a little problem, actualy two with my MacBook.
First of all, sometimes, it won't go to sleep, when I close the lid and in the same time, I can switch on or off the bluetooth. It all started to happen in the last couple of weeks, when I started to take it with me all the time. I've even switched the 'turn it on by any bluetooth device' option off and still no luck. Then when I open it again, the screen won't come on and I have to force to switch off. I have no idea what cause this. I've searched everywhere, but couldn't find any way to fix this. The funny thing is, I havn't instaled anything and even if I had, I always use Appzapper to delete them.
The other thing is, I can't repair my startup disk, if I choose verify disk, I got this:
Verifying volume “Macintosh HD”
Checking HFS Plus volume.
Checking Extents Overflow file.
Checking Catalog file.
Checking multi-linked files.
Checking Catalog hierarchy.
%)
Checking Extended Attributes file.
Checking volume bitmap.
Checking volume information.
Volume Header needs minor repair
d.",1)
Macintosh HD
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit
1 HFS volume checked
Volume needs repair
So, I have no idea, what's going on...
