I'll look into it.

Aha! Thanks, max. On the subject of removing SE links in folders:
Just wanted to report back - these .itm hook related files are located in two spots (maybe one is always read, the other for restore purposes only):

\\tpa\\preset\\system\\custmenu, and
tpa\\preset\\custom

Removing all the files from the custmenu folder, and all the .itm files from the second custom folder successfully removed the content hooks, as well as resetting my Play Now icon to the default SE one.

Now I'm just going to hunt around for that link to redirect the Play Now menu icon!

i have this problem after my phone hard reset on its own.

when i click internet services (the top centre icon of the main menu i get the message as in the picture above) Considering what jasond has been pondering, is there a way to fix my problem with the original link the "internet services" icon?

can i use far manager to flash it?

My old K750i with latest SE Firmware has joystick problems.
Have another K750i with original firmware.
If I use far manager and copy all files from FS and FLASH directory to new K750i will this replace update? Just curious, I know I can update using SEUS....
It would be a easy way to copy the changes I made using FAR.
I did quit some reading on FAR but haven't seen anything about this.

A year ago after hours of trying to get it figured out, I connected to my W800i with Far and replaced the PHF_2_play.apf file. Now I'm trying to connect to the same phone, but after hours of searching and reading again, this time I haven't figured out exactly what I need to do.

I already have the SE USB driver (W800_Signed_USB_Drivers.exe) installed and have used the Update Service (Update_Service_Setup-2.7.12.4.exe) to check for firmware updates, which worked fine. So here is the process I followed to try to connect with FAR Manager:

1. Downloaded FarManager170.exe from www.farmanager.com and installed it
2. Downloaded the SE Flash Plugin 0.10.0.44 from http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=3666
3. Unzipped the SE Flash Plugin to Far's plugins directory (so that the path is C:\Program Files\Far\Plugins\SEFP\sefp.dll for example)
4. Connected the DCU-60 cable to the PC's USB port, without the phone connected
5. Started Far Manager, hit Alt-F1 then 0 (SEFP). Here is what it said:

Plugin call error
Exception occurred:
"Unknown exception"
Exception address: 0x7C812A7B in module:
C:\...am Files\Far\Plugins\SEFP\sefp.dll
The plugin will be unloaded!

6. Having read that I am not supposed to connect the phone until after the above step (although in all the guides I read it's not 100% clear), I decided to start over from step 4 above but this time connecting the phone while holding down C after removing/replacing the battery. The result was that the above error did not occur and it displayed the SE Flash Plugin dialog with options to select the device, speed, flow and boot script.

With most things I'd normally just go ahead and experiment at this point, but since this is the sort of thing that could possibly brick the device, I'd rather take it a little more carefully. So here are my questions:

- When I connect the phone while holding down C, is the phone supposed to show its start up menu (start phone / music only) and show a removable disk folder (with my music etc.) on the PC? That is what mine is doing.
- In the SE Flash Plugin dialog, the only boot script options are k_00_CID29_v3, k_00_CID29_v4, k_00_CID36_v3 and k_00_CID36_v4. Which one am I supposed to use for the W800i?
