So the same old "silos", will Sony never learn ?

^A15 cortex is more powerful than A9 cortex. So if you have a quad-core A9 SOC like Tegra 3, it is sure be beaten by a dual-core A15 SOC hands down. Go search on Google the benchmark comparison between Tegra 3 and Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core. You will see there is about 70 percent improvement in performance with Qualcomm S4 over Tegra 3 despite having only two cores.
About waiting until Q1 next year for a quad-core equipped smartphone, we should actually be happy with that. It only means that Sony Mobile is skipping A9 cortex quad-core SOC and jump straight to Qualcomm S4 quad-core. I can't even imagine how powerful that smartphone is going to be. Beside, power consumption would be more efficient when using the S4 as it is based on 28nm process compared to A9's 45 nm. All in all, future is bright for Sony Mobile.

If he is talking about A15cortex it can only mean ST-ericsson 9600. Qualcomm uses a custom built A9 for its krait. Anyway, its great news that they are thinking about A15 at least. The nightmare would be krait 2013...

Can you also argument why you disagree about it than only complain?
Sony has also other OS, why same old end that Sony never learn?

in future it should increase.

I hopE SE choose Snapdragon S4 Pro instead. It has Adreno 320 GPU which is much better than Adreno 225. Fingers-crossed!

I like those idea from Sony
What I mean is that to be successful I think Sony would be better of to leverage all its assets across divisions. Their CEOs has talked about it for quite some time. I friend of mine had a fairly high position in an Asian Sony office and he complained about the silo mentality. Why not share more technology and content across divisions? From the Verge post:
"In fact, Sneeden went on to tell us that there aren't currently any products being co-developed by Sony Mobile and other groups within the company — they share some support staff, but the products themselves are entirely siloed. Likewise, Sneeden made it clear that Sony Mobile isn't responsible for Sony's Android-powered tablets. That's strange considering the overwhelming overlap in form factor, operating system, and hardware components, but he couldn't give any guidance on when (or if) that might change. "This is how it is," he said."
