True, but in the past the US punters usually haven't had it as good as regards choice of handsets and handset deals like Europe, SA etc has, although the fact that most phones now coming out include their GSM frequency bands as well (850 and 1900 and therefore quad-band) is helping to re-address that.

@786KBR: Don't know how you missed my first post about Cell C's new strategy. It was officially unveiled today in the press.

Anyway all the terms and conditions are out, 2 hours of free minutes only so theres some limits.

Was expecting some sort of a limit on call time but 2 hours for R5 is a bargain...The network will probably be flooded this weekend....expect to hear the "network busy" tone when you're trying to connect this weekend.

Ok, so now we've moved on from MySpace and become addicted to Facebook. Awesome site but over the last two weeks it has started to resemble the MySpace that I left...filled with crap applications on profile pages and a tad bit slow to load due to the aforementioned stuff.

So now Levi's have also decided to bring out their own phone. Who's next... Nike? Oakley? McClaren? Mrs Balls?!
Looks a lot like one of those credit-card-sized P300-series Samsungs:

@da wanbqsta: I'll give that one a miss...Never been crazy about brands reaching out of their traditional fields and into another, first one that comes to mind is Harley-Davidson and their attempts at the flooding their market with their merchandise.
Levis don't make the phone, the same way that Hummer don't make their own phone.
@786KBR: Are you watching the buck-toothed one this evening in Pretoria performing miracles with the ball.

Ya, no prizes where these phones have originated from, I guess.
I also can't ever see myself buying a phone that is 'branded' by a well-known product or brandname and then specifically bought for that (shallow) reason; that level of brand loyalty would border on disturbing, IMHO...
