What phone are you using at the moment, Jojo? How many mobile/cellphone networks are there in The Philippines?

That's 2 excellent Nokia you have there, pal. Both very, very capable Symbian smartphones. I think the N90 was the first to have Carl Zeiss optics/lenses on a cellphone.
And of course the classic T68i. Still one of my all-time fave phones, looks-wise.

Good morning all, hope your weather's as beautiful as it is here today

Just wondering whether Cell C is managing to cope with the inevitable deluge of calls which are being made this weekend... and whether this promotion will help to stimulate their balance sheet somewhat. Don't think they've declared any profits since they launched, have they?

@ Wanqa, a hunting pal of mine always says that animals don't read ballistic tables, because so often one hears of large game being felled by a round that's completely inappropriate for it. Similarly, i'll warrant that we'll discover half-brix (sic) may be more efficient than most cartridges when facing an enraged superhero, lol. Mind you, i do recall reading that even the lowly subsonic 22 cartridge has a better chance of penetrating armour because of its lower velocity. I've seen one of these rounds deliver the coup de grace to an ox which had somehow survived the two 9mm rounds which poachers had discharged into its body. Ballistic tables and illiteracy, lol..

Hey guys. Just used up about an hour of my cell c free minutes. The call quality was excellent. Had no problems whatsoever. I think this is a fantastic step in the right direction. It's about time our call rates become competitive with international rates. If you haven't already bought a starter pack, what are u waiting for!

@jiteshraj: I tried calling someone on Cell C just three minutes ago and as had earlier predicted, I got a "network busy" signal.

@ Jojo,
That's the nature of the beast that we know as the rapid cellphone evolution... as we know most cellphones we own today are surpassed by later models within a year or less. Later next year we might be talking about P1i successors!
However, there are some that have really stood the test of time, even with newer phones on the block. The K750i and W800i/W810i are classic examples, Nokia's iconic old 3310, Moto's V3 RAZR, etc.

I actually bought one of my 2 sisters the gold T68 when it came out in limited numbers in that colour, and had it updated to T68i spec by a shop here called Extele. They used to give many other independent cellphone dealers here a run for the money, but unfortunately they closed down a few years ago..
My sister's now got the Nokia 3230 that I used to have, and it looks like she's now switched her allegiance to The Dark Side...

@ Kryptik,
Hmmm... so not much point in using 'dum-dum' bullets either then...

@ The Hobbster,
Any predictions as regards today's match? Methinks the Boks have got their work cut out... that bloody Josevata Rokocoko winger of theirs is lethal.

@ da brixsta,
Did you see that £16 million has bought Barcelona a rather famous Gunner by the name of Thierry Henry? Eish, he'll be sorely missed by the Gooners...
