"5+" seems too good to be the replacement of 10+.
Could be "x3" too. With QHD and just for Japan, like initial rumors.
6.6 1080p would be too low ppi for flagship.
Sony have to move fast to avoid losing ground in Japan, like 2019.
Sharp just announced Aquos R5G with 6,5 QHD 120Hz HDR, triple cam + Tof, 8K, 12 + 256, IP68 and 3730mAh.

I am skeptical about the new midrangers.. Sony has always been using inferior chipsets in the midrange devices (ever since the M30).. According to numerous rumors all the phones to be announced this month are going to be 5g-ready..so snapdragon 765 is a must for midrangers yeah? That's a big step up from the 630..or are they gonna use Mediatek again.. Dunno about Mediatek midrange 5g ready cpus though

Xperia have 120Hz.
Does not make sense to go drop to 90.
OP8 Lite will use Mediatek 1000 Dimemsity.
I think it is the counterpart of SD765.
It also has 5G.
My guess is : 1 II (SD865), 10+ II (765G), 10 II ( 665) , Ace II (665), 5 II (865), L4 (P22 or P65), 8+ II (765).

According to XJ, three devices this month, all 5g ready and one later which would be 4g

It says about possibility of S-Master HX.
Walkman stuff, right?
https://sumahoinfo.com/?p=37990
It says just sub6 and no mmwave.
Seriously? The weaker just because it is cheaper?

Finally some good explanation for revival of headphone jack.
As for mmwave, S865 comes paired with X55 modem, so in hardware it will support both sub6 and mmwave, but the way I see it Sony chooses to turn it off at launch, because they can not deliver functioning connectivity this way. What is the point of having mmwave listed on specs if device can not deliver it?

I think you can choose the frequency it works.
S20 is sub6 only, while Plus and Ultra have both.
Rumors of 5G iphones, points to only sub6 for the iphone 12 and mmwave for Pro duo.

About S-Master HX, this is quite interesting if sony implements it for Xperia. But I doubt that because if we look into recently introduced walkman models, Sony has ditched the 'S-Master HX' term for quite some time.

No they haven't. Both the new ZX and A series feature the S-Master HX, and this is mentioned on both their product pages. Sony has been using the S-master HX in many of the previous models., A50, A40, A30, ZX300, even the high end WM1Z model had it.
