@ Sanj .. Overall compared to the UK with its high cost of living, shortage of housing, high crime rate etc. Malaysia is great .. Just that Malaysia has a way to go before it is ready to compete with the world.. ( Though I do get homesick for Japan..)

Yeah the red k610i is nice, only problem is no Autofocus.

Where is SE's high end clamshell? No more high end clamshell from them?

I thought you don't like clam shell

well don't be picky on k610

remember tht it will sell as long as "610" is used

of course it is such a coincident tht every product with 610 looks so good

you won't feel tired with T610, HBH610 and K610 design.

K610 is in fact nicer than the K800 IMO. But the only thing nice about the K800 is the 3.2 MP camera.

The way I see it, yeah, we are on the way there... Heading for destruction that is.

Compete with the rest of the world on what terms? Cost of living? Heck, yeah we are almost there. Every bloody thing is going up in price. Crime rate? Sure, just bring in more foreign workers, that will surely increase the crime rate to those of developed places.... What else? Shortage of houses? Hah, its only a matter of time. Every bloody piece of land as far as the eye can see is being developed. Tell me when was the last time you actually saw nice greenery in Malaysia? Heck there ain't a decent park anywhere near Subang. Even if there was a park, the lake in the center would be full of crap, and I literally mean full of crap.

How about the public transport system of Malaysia? Bullocks! That's all I can say. We have all these "great" roads leading here and there... But how loong are they gonna keep expanding it? Waaaaay too many cars on the road. People drive like maniacs. Instead of the never ending process of expanding the roads, why can't those fellas just focus on better public transport? And speaking of public transport, our great komuters run through the slums to cater for the foreign workers I was talking about... And don't even get me started on the way they run their service and how punctual they actually are ok?

Then we have the coruptions, I'm SURE we can't be beaten in that department. We must have caught up and overtaken the coruption rates of the more developed countries huh? We can be "proud" of that for sure.

Remember the green coloured building near Sunway Pyramid, the youth center? The one that came out in the Star Metro in early January? Anyone remember it? Well, it cost RM30mil and was rotting away for years until it came out in the newspapers. Then the MPSJ said ok ok, it will be up and running by the end of Jan. But guess what? Its still in the same shitty condition it was before all the attention was focused on it. People paid attention to it for about 2 weeks or so and so ends the story. All is swept under the carpet because of our "tidak apa" attitude. The bugger who gave out that contract and his partners in crime/henchmen are laughing all the way to the bank. I drive past that piece of crap every day on the way to Uni and it makes me sick.

I don't hate Malaysia, I feel sad that everyone is turning a blind eye to what's happening around the.. Everyone has the attitude of "as long as it doesn't concern me".... I dread to think of the Malaysia of 20 years into the future. Maybe then we would be ready to "compete" as you said.

I prefer the old Malaysia of 15 years ago...

Ok, on a much much much more lighter note, new firmware for K750i is out.
yay !

Don't you think that's the mentality of Malaysians?

I'm pretty tired of that hoo-haa as well...

Yeah, the reason why the corrupted/evil get away soo easily in Malaysia is because Malaysians will make noise for a week or two then everyone will just shut up because they've forgotten all about it or because they WANT to forget about it...

I wonder what it would take for Malaysians to change their way of thinking? Are we really that powerless? I think the "tidak-apa" attitude is there because we believe that we can't do anything to change the way things are. So, in return we become selfish and its everyone for himself.

Good case in point, the current driving system. The JPJ testers at the driving schools are bloody corrupted. Everyone knows that. Anyone who doesn't know this is either oblivious to his surroundings or must have been living under a coconut shell. It even came out in the newspapers about two months back correct? Then as usual everything died down.

Now first of all, the public knows about this, but they believe they can't do anything about this, so they bribe in order to get their sons and daughters to pass.

Next, notice how people drive on the roads? Like crap no? So, the public has no faith in our Police as they are corrupted and understaffed. So what do people do next? Its every person for themselves, do or die. If you follow the rules on the road, there will be morons breaking rules left right and centre of you. How would you feel?
Its a herd mentality, one or two does it the rest will folllow...

Noticed the latest trend? People like to drive down the wrong way on Jalan Sehala streets now. The no entry sign it seems has become invisible or void... Anyone of you has experienced this lately?

Yeah when you flash at them trying to indicate that they're going the wrong way, they had the guts to show the international sign... Thinking that they're in the right...

You've seen these morons drive the wrong way too? WOW, it is indeed a new trend then. They just ignore the no entry and jalan sehala then drive like its their father's road. When i just sit there and block them, expecting them to reverse, they give the "WTF are you blocking me?" look.

Man, i feel like i just want to get down then and there and give them three tight b*tch slaps...
These people all sure lesen terbang, can't even read simple road signs...

Eh, you guys seen this yet? COOL
