It is as I said believe it or not. What I steal get is automatic close of application due to lack of RAM when I doesn't care of memory usage, but usually I do care through sm. Before fw upgrade I had all you are speaking about, but after it and master reset I got one or two kern err and one restart for better performance. That's why I said once in a blue moon. Mine P990 is also unbranded if that means something.
My daily average usage is something like this (golf is uninstaled from the very beginning):
- camera and wifi (very intense), internet, multimedia downloading (not every day but up to 100MB when I us it), music, fm radio (not every day), video, phone (voice dialing), sms, mms, POP3 email with attachments, tasks, calendar, document to go, pdf, rss, alarm, sync, usb memory storage
All of this function without a single bug. In one of my posts I said that right now I am at deep peace with my P990 and I realy ment it..
However I welcome new fw for better multitasking and generaly more stability i.e. less use of sm.

p.s. I am yet to use bluetooth headset so don't know how it works.

I use my phone primarly for work and honestly, using it is not as painful an experience for me than most users here it seems. On top of the voice calls and text messages, I use notes, calander, quickoffice, pdf+, wifi, pop3 with attachments heavily. Music's a daily affair as well and I use a DS970 for that. I use the camera occasionally when I don't feel like typing out something that's already on paper so autofocus+macro rocks. Don't care much for the multimedia functions and radio but I do have a few videos stuffed in my MSDP. I am however, very mindful of what apps are left open and usually close the ones that I don't need immediately. I understand that this may be a hassle for most - especially people very used to multitasking but hey, whatever works right? By the way, I'm on a /2 R3A04. Yes. One FW upgrade behind.

my experience is similar to koto and discord, everyday i use p990 for calls, sms, gmail (pop3), rss, documents to go, picodrive, video playing, music via bt, radio, web browsing, PIM with outlook sync, agile messenger, etc, i only want more available memory for better multitasking

looks like the one that having much truble is me... mu phone is singapore ver. i'm trying to upgrade via SEUS 3 times, first it's been upgraded, the nest two said there is no need to upgrade but i just continiued it till finish... fw now for organizer is R2A05 thats the latest fw for singapore ver. ..... i've using SM pro full version.. and set the maximum for all memory reclaim, clean up on idle, even clean up when flip close and still the same thing happen... opening agile messenger and receiving sms would be hard thing to do at the same time... maybe the phone didn't restarted again, just a few times after upgrade the firmware... but still program closed is the major things to happen, beside i neesd to restart the phone myself after used it to open a few applications cause the memory is not enough to open another applications.
starting the phone, i just got 12.6 mb is that the same w/ u guys? after opening agile only 7mb avaiable, make calls, receive sms..... program closed.. i must restart agile again..

wow, taht means i lost about 3mb? i guess it's because chinesse languange.. i've explore through SM and the dictionay takes 3 mb.... what a loss.... anybody know how to change my firmware to generic world? better no dictionary then loss RAM or maybe becase it's SM is auto load so it has been loaded since starting?

Well, I have the world fw R7 and NOTHING installed only SE content after a MasterReset (which looses another bunch or crap) and still have ONLY 14.1 RAM after a restart!

I hope that SE people reads this info and does something about in the coming fw versions. I think that we gain of M600 and W950 when they discover flaws in the code.
