Argh! The light, it is too bright! The worst part of a Monday, the sun...which i don't mind when its cold and i need heat, but you get days when a few puff clouds in the sky block out the little sun that there is, and a quite strong breeze effectively makes it a cold day. A darn cold day for that!
Enjoy your day everyone!

Ah, an interesting article about ultra wide band connection technology, a technology set to do right what bluetooth and wifi got wrong.

Good morning, y'all.
@ Jojo,
Yup, that mechanised creation featured in Matrix Revolutions, and was known as an APU (Armoured Personnel Unit). That dude in charge of the defence in the movie, Mifune, led the assault against those weird tentacled Sentinels before he kicked the bucket.

Yep, Monday isn't my favourite day either... I love the humour in that Mandela-rylaan, Francois, really a pity the dude had to go to that extent to make his point. Possibly more should be done to educate the population on who De la rey truly was, and how he worked so closely with some tribal leaders in formulating plans of attack.
Anywayz... I've been spending a few days with my boet. He lives just outside Durbanville, right up alongside the wine farms in the area. Beautiful countryside maar bliksem, it gets cold here!!! This morning the rentacar's windscreen was iced over. Now that's something i rarely see back home... I'm itching to get to the Grahamstown Festival as well (to experience THAT kind of cold, lol) Will take some pix there, haven't posted anything in a while. Enjoy the week ahead everybody

Thanks, Rhino. Good to hear that you've got your own place n' space.
BTW, did you guys see that 500 000 ipPhones were sold this past weekend in the States at the launch? Not too shabby at all, Nige.

As someone commented, a good proportion will end up on eBay, due to some people buying as many as possible and selling them for a good deal more to desperate geekstas everywhere.

The best article so far about the De La Rey thing is the one by Koos Kombuis. It is in Afrikaans, and it will offend black and white and brit and boer, but well worth a read.

I like what he says about being tired of the baggage that comes from being an Afrikaner, being put in a box, and all that. If you understand Afrikaans, read the article.
So, 500 000 iphones...wow!

Ya, good on Jobs & co. Competition is good and hopefully it'll cause other manufacturers to up their game even more. Personally, I just can't see myself owning an iPhone when the likes of the W960i and P1i will also be around.

I'm sure you guys know Lyle's Golden Syrup, sold in those green and gold tins. They also do sugar here in a massive way, kinda like Huletts does in SA I guess. Well, today I took 6 G & T (Gifted and Talented) pupils to Tate & Lyle's headquarters, for their final presentation of a project that they did.
Tate & Lyle's HQ is, of course, in an absolute prime area.
Unfortunately the N73's battery was flat and I attempted to take a few pics with the P900, to show the view from their HQ.
Please excuse the very crappy VGA pics, and the weather didn't help much either, but you can still appreciate the view from the place's balcony, with London Bridge to the right in the distance:
...and Tower Bridge to the left.
