Hmmm.. What happened to the designers at Lund and Japan? Seems interesting this phone is Chinese designed.

The phone is designed by Japanese, not Chinese. The guy is from Sony Japan and has designed numerous Sony products including quite a few VAIO laptops. He also works at SMC Beijing design department.

So the phone was designed at SMC R&D Beijing by a Japanese designer, not designed by Chinese team.

That's great. China designed stuff tend to cut corners.

Nice one on the S800 CPU though, atleast Sony are now right up there in the CPU/GPU front, wonder how this will do with a 6.4inch display though.

If you are referring to overall performance with the s800 on board... The Xperia Tablet Z has a 10" screen with an s4 pro and works just fine. So I cant see this one having any issues.

You misunderstood me, I was meaning how the phone will do in the market place with such a huge screen, thought I had thrown in a full stop there, now I realize it was a coma, my bad. I think we are past the days where screen res or size will ruin CPU performance, the S800 is Qualcomm's most powerful chip so it should manage the 6.4inch 1080P just fine.

Sony has just taught its competitors how to design a good looking Smartphone, Tablet and this time, a phablet. for me, Z Ultra did not disappoint the lack of LED flash is hardly a deal breaker, afterall they're not as useful as a Xenon flash on party pics
