I've been watching it for the past hour or so, finding it quite riveting to see so many people united behind a common cause.

The short films and tips are extremely annoying sorry to say.I want the music. This is a great event but how much difference do you think its going to make when the sun rises tomorrow.People arent going to get on their bicycles and leave their cars in their garages. We are a doomed dumb specie. We are destined to destroy ourselves.

You guys won't believe this, Saturday happened to be a total blur. I got up this morning with my phone playing tricks on me...it switches off by itself (surely a sign of old age).
I left the house at 11am and did some shopping with my 18 year-old brother, FOUR HOURS later we were back in Khayelitsha and I had missed the Springboks losing against the Wallabies, LH getting his third F1 pole and Venus Williams winning her fourth Wimbledon crown.
Some weird happened last night, I'm standing in line at the Ster-Kinekor cinema at Cavendish when I see John Smit behind me....the cool thing is that even though the place was packed, no-one made a big fuss about him and everyone recognised the Springbok captain. Just love Cape Town.

funny enough, i liked the short films. Some of the bands I saw sang like crap, as if they don't really want to save the planet, so that was not really wow. Thought I saw a bit from the SA bit...almost only white people attending...with African jazz going on...was really not impressed. But then again, it takes a lot to impress me.
