I have this phone for 2 weeks now and it is a wonderful phone that is build very well and all works fast and as it was ment .... the only negative thing about this phone is also the most importent,the HORRIBLE sound of the walkman!!!
3 steps lower then my old W800i and even worst then the W902. i just can not believe it! anyone wants to buy a W995?

How's speaker volume when phone rings? Is it much louder than C905? Does it equal the noguia 5800's volume?

Yes...seriously. It does not have a lanyard eyelet. Neither does the Aino, if you were wondering.

Perhaps SE has decided to drop that hardware feature?

Yes, when come to headset comparing with old model, Sound is more softer ever old model I still wonder why too?

sound is nice soft and clear but actually feelin' rather soft and yes, 2 step lower for my W850.

by the way modified them and get a louder as you wish. I don't responsibility with any risk you take when come to modifying your phone.

yesterday ,i dropped my sony ericsson w995 in the water and wen i finally managed 2 turn it on it looked as if the proper screen had big scuffs on it and the both cameras dont work but the flash is still fine
i dont know y orange wont do anything about it when its such an expensive phone and they just tell us that its our own fault.
something should be done about it!

it is very clear to me that you never had the W800i i still have it and that is my problem ... i can compare it!
the W800i is not one step better but 3 or more ... sound is complitly different,in the W995 it travels a long tube ..that how it sounds ,no bass and too high hightones,equalizer is so week that you hardly hear the difference and the megabass is very weak too. the volume of the player is about 30-40% lower then the W800i
i tested it at work ...about 50 people ... i did let them listen to both with the same headphones and they could not see the phone .
the volume of the W995 was 100% and of the W800i 90% .... .... so i asked what phone sounds better 1 or 2? they all said phone nr2 and what was it ? the W800i ... i asked is it a big difference or small,the told me very big ,special the bass and the volume(and it was only 90% and still much highr then the W995i... the W800i is another world!
all the 50 said it !!! not even one said the W995 ...
the rest of the W995 is very good and thats why i am so angry,i do not need the walkman 4... give me the first one... it worked much better,i will sujest SE also to save money on "divelpoments" cos if this is the best the can do now they better use the old software ... and it will be much cheaper too.
