I hate to point this out, but HTC droid dna with 5" 1080p manages to get much better battery life than xperia T. Endurance rating of 49hr vs 36hr of xT by gsmarena. Not even acro S with 1910mah battery and 4.3" screen manages to beat it. So if you find dna's batt life as crap, what do you find about T and rest of xperias?
I really hope we get some good leaks regarding odin. I am growing a bit impatient.
What's involved in an endurance test?

It will be suicide for them to sell off battery business to other investors

The game has changed over the last 10 years. Global competition wasn't as strong when Sony was as its prime.
Manufacturing is all about TBC (time based competition).
The company that makes the product in the shortest amount of time, with the lowest cost and quality that meets the average customer expectations is the best company.
Sony cannot make the batteries cheaper than the competitors. Most like the quality of the batteries is better but the market place does not require the batteries to be of such good quality.
As long as a product meets the customer expectations it is a good product.

@HxH,
I also feel they shouldn't sell it off. It could be bad for their business. For rechargeable batteries, i usually prefer sony's and afaik they were working on a new battery that could really help for smartphones.
@vivftp,
1 hour of call, 1 hr of video and 1 hr of browsing per day according to gsmarena.

I was following this thread for a while and I'm familiar with upcoming Sony smartphones but how Nexus 4 stacks up against "soon to be announced" top tier Sony phones. Are you, guys, willing to wait for Sony or planning to jump on Nexus 4? It's available for a while, therefore there're plenty of opinions around. I found myself in situation where I was determined to get Sony phone but long waits between announcement and selling forced me to reconsider my options. Nexus 4 is very reasonable priced so you can avoid all the hassle related to contracts and locked carriers.
All in all, what's your take?

I have no idea if Yuga will come with removable battery or not... But if it comes with a removable battery, can we expect something like this...???
http://www.phonearena.com/new[....]offered-by-Mugen-Power_id37109
And also this... Samsung is producing these 64GB on-board storage chips... Won't it be cool if Sony uses these chips on its upcomin top-end phones...??? Cos it's smaller and faster... It might sound hypothetical, but i'm askin this, cos Samsung uses Sony's cam sensor... Like that if Sony uses this, it'll be nice...

@psquare
I had my mind fixed on buying the Nexus 4. I understand the odin/yuga would own it in every way. However, I'm not rich and the Nexus 4 is so cheap. However, if I can't get it before the end of December, I'll just have to wait for odin/yuga, whichever one comes to my market.
I mean, why would I not just wait for 3 more months to get a phone better in every way?
Yes, it would be more expensive overall. However, here, a 24 month contract would be not too bad as there would be no up-front cost.
