just been to a pc fair and bought a hard drive for my old pentium 2 pc (the old one was knacked). fiited it and installed win98 on it so the mrs parents can have it.
it's sooo slow - don't know how i used it for so long? anyway the hard drive i got was a 4 gig one - so it's double the capacity of the old 2 gig one!

I got my pc about 3 days ago now, and i still havent got the fu*king thing working. I need to get a decent os, like windows xp professional. (I know i slated xp before, but the pro version is quite good). And i need to get a new monitor. Anyone know where to get hold of a cheap tft jobby apart from on novatech?

Its not branded, i had it built up,but its a athlon xp 2000, 256ram, 40 gig hard drive, dvd and cd re writer drives,geforce4 graphics card et blah. Its pretty fast when it actually works, but i REALLY hate windows me.

erm no - should i have? oh well maybe next time!
at least it works! that was my main worry! i could have got one cheaper but they were all shoved in a box not sealed in a big pile so i thought i'd get one from the decent looking bloke where they were all static wrapped etc etc.
psykotik - sounds like a good pc m8 - did u build it urself?
