Ok I need to get my head round this.
I updated a friends K800i (Debranded the phone from Orange) 2 weeks ago.

When i connected the phone, Erom never said it was out of date and Ive now read that you have to enable the ARM of the phone.

However the phone went through perfect with out a glitch.

The update was done on wotan server.

I was extremely impressed and was going to update my K800 which is already unbranded last night my self. However now i need 2 credits due to the erom out of date.

However this message as never appeared before. Am i to take it that this is a Gen SE erom?

I understand what the function does etc, but cant understand why all of a sudden we are now having to update?

Any suggestions or help please.

Dude,

you need to just relax a bit. Did you contact the support at WOTAN to see if they could offer some help?

Ich own a K800i. Updated it yesterday with davinciteam. Works fine. But the clock is still the same. Anyone have a picture from the new clock?

Will EROM be updated through SEUS when the update is released? If not, will I have to pay for it? I got my phone very early so I'm pretty sure it will need updating.

EDIT: I just saw that I had EROM R3A011 so I guess I need to update it.

Ok my next question.

If any one has had there software updated at a local repair center and the phone has been updated to the latest revision, Has the EROM also been updated to the latest revision too?

Is this why SE are delaying the release of the update?

Thanks Darren

Yes, you should update your EROM but be careful to have 2 log account(one for your EROM and one for the RED001).If you update just your EROM your phone won`t get started.I`m in this situation but I can`t buy account from wotan because I`m from Romania and they don`t validate cards from here.If you want to help me I`ll pay double for 1 log account.

What is EROM?

It cant be an Erasable Read Only Memory since it has to be an EPROM to be able to program it. Well, I dont have any good idea.
