My information might not be reliable but it'll get 4k 60fps soon.

This model?

I just used this phone again in the showroom. I've been waiting a few months for the z1 but please tell me that I'm a novice at this because I feel a little disappointed in what I saw. I tried again, both 20mp and 8mp with various lowest setting of iso along with 1080 recording. On all the pics without flash in the show room I still notice significant noise and lack of sharpness when a full wide angle pic is taken and then zoomed in on the display (stating from half zoom to full). Is this normal for these camera phones? Am I being to picky about what to expect from a mobile phone? I then tried video and I notice there is some white noise on the video when there is darker subjects (freezing the frame gave proof). Also the full wide angle seemed a little pixelated (noticable pixelated at 3x zoom). Again, I'm not knowledgeable of these camera but I'm hoping this is just isolated to this display phone. I do got to say that a macro video shot of a red water bottle cap came out with quite less noise and seemed to lack the diagnoal jagged edge pixelation. That was actualy quite good.

How can anybody discuss your theoreical assumptions?
Without any sample...

Secondly, each camera can take a good or bad photo.
Camera isn't doing it all by itself, it still needs you to help, right?!
It's you who capture it so you know, the more difficult light more knowledge it needs.

Lol.

Nope, but a Z3 or Z4 might just do that

Legal issue with google because Sony re-wrote the camera app?
I do not understand, the only thing I can think of is the the new app has been created for Kit Kat and so Sony has to wait for Kit Kat to roll out officially?
Anyway it is a bad news for Docomo users, who knows how long it will take them to release this to clients...

Otherwise, for people who tried it, what is the pixel binning thing doing in the camera?
- Is it enabled by default when you take 8MP shots? I would have thought 20MP/4=5MP would be the final output of pixel binning to keep the aspect ratio constant.
- Is this compatible with manual mode?
- Can you select it in the GUI, and is there a limitations of your options when you select it?
- Do you see a difference of quality by taking say a 5MP regular a shot and a 5MP shot via the pixel binning?

Any insight is appreciated, thanks

sony didn't try to hide the fact the xperia z before had a washed out display and poor viewing angles. it was the same xz they used in their promo videos and photos.

hopefully, that device up there is the same device available for retail.
