Also note that you have to remove battery and put it back before upgrading EROM (written by Wotanserver(support) in other thread):

I am still not 100 % sure about what EROM is exactly, but this is the information I could find.
So, if you want to upgrade the EROM, make sure that you have two credits, flash the phone after upgrading the EROM. When you get message about upgrading EROM and you disconnect the phone, remove the battery and put it back, then press and hold keys 2 and 5 (on the phone) while connecting to USB. This upgrade is very quick.
There is also a new Wotan client available:

EROM? (Sigh) That's why, SEUS is dizzy with its K800i f/w! There will be thousands dead phones as this R1DE001 hits this 'lower' EROM version. Mine is also 11 not 16. Even W810 has got its new f/w..and K800i? (sigh). May be we need a new SEUS client to upgrade this EROM..

Has anyone with R1ED experienced the call timer bug still? Or has this been fixed? In more detail, the call timer in the service menu runs faster than the regular menu's stats... please let us all know if this has been fixed.

I have a *similar*, although slightly different problem with my k800i. Before, it did the whole not turning on and red light flashing thing, but a charge overnight cured that. My problem now is that when I plug the charger in, or try to turn it on, the screen just stays white for a few minutes, then turns off. Once or twice, I've been able to see a garbled switch-on screen (with no backlight), but when I choose phone mode, it goes white again.
Is it worth me paying for the credits to reflash, do you think this will solve the problem? Or should I just take the phone back and get them to give me a new one...?

Regarding The above.
This is a common fault with firmware R1BC001 and the latest firmware does resolve this issue.

Well i plucked up enough Courage and reflashed my phone using wotan server.
I purchased 2 credits and did the erom first and then the rest of the phone.
I was total bricking my self sh*tless.
However it did work. As you can see from the pic. (The pic was taken from my other K800i that is waiting to be updated but one phone at a time).
Any way. Its all done now and i can go to sleep.
