Sony really need to get ICS out there, on its Xperia S as well as 2011 handsets. Other manufactures this week HTC and samsung have started updating their flagship devices, and if they want to keep up a good name for timely updates they need to pull a finger out!
Obviously no one wants a rushed version that's full of bugs, but considering how light skinned they've made Android they should be well in the lead, this worked well for them in 2011 after their shambles in 2010, but they need to sustain the lead.

why whining? HTC only release a handful of update to specific countries with selected model (Sensation & Sensation XE), as for Samsung the rumour of March 10th's update turn false as official twitter claim.

i agree
producing lookalikes won't help them, different "screen sizes" as main selling point is rather narrow
but i give them credits on the new designs, they have found some very distinctive (but minimal) design elements which make them stand out from crowd. this floating screen is also very very nice.
sony(ericsson) really shows that modern smartphones don't need to be an iphone design clone to look good. sadly this new sony line up feels more swedish then any of their phones since the T610 days.

Xperia LT29i Hayabusa Arc Successor.
Comment from a Sony employee on Youtube:
"I'm not allow to reveal any critical info on the LT29i at the moment, but let's just say if the Xperia S is the design successor of the Xperia x10, the Hayabusa will be the design successor for the arc
The A15 Duals are exciting though"

So looks like an ultra thin version of the S, maybe with some higher specs.
Does anyone else think that the S's removable back cover was a compromise - it makes no sense when you could have had a SIM slot (aka iPhone and U), perhaps it was originally planned to have a removable battery and that was changed last minute.

Yes. I am really excited

. Finally Sony will be up to date in terms of hardware. And that alone to me makes the Sony Ericsson acquisition worth it. The GS3 is going to have the Exynos 4412 1.5 ghz Quad Core cpu with Mali 400 GPU. The S4- equipped Hayabusa will easily be faster than the GS3.
Samsung, this year is not gonna be yours sorry !!. No more will you hold the title of "The Best Android Smartphone" in 2012. Get ready to pass the torch to Sony !!!!
