One feels disappointed when something delivers below expectation. No one expected a tab at CES. You might a well feel disappointed they haven't announced a helicopter surround sound system.
By the way, I just remembered, the keynote is later, let's see what that brings!

If you mean
Kaz Hirai’s keynote, it's in 3 hours and 15 minutes.

@evleaks: Sony Sirius (2014 flagship) tipped for MWC debut: 5.2-inch display, MSM8974AB SoC, and a home on Verizon in the US.
@evleaks: Sony Castor: an MSM8974AB-powered tablet, in 4G and Wi-Fi flavors.

So Z1s doesn't differ that much from Z1, except the larger 32GB which is a very welcome change for Sony that they should do it long time ago ( at least with Z1, not to mention the original Z )... but why the Z1s dimensions are different ? why they make two different but identical devices where they can do it with one only ? now they will need to have different ROM's and maintain different development lanes for these devices... and Sony should focus on having fewer devices to have quicker updates for all of them...
But why having different ASIC for exactly same device !! waste of resources is all I can see
I think it's because Sony believes the trouble is worth it, to get into the US market. We can't blame them for that; they really need to increase their presence there & US carriers seem to be extremely particular about what they want. So if Sony has to jump through a few hoops to gain a foothold there, they no doubt, will.

@FMW300
they will increase their usa support probably from next year... they said they are not investing in usa for now.
anyway. the Z1 Compact is the star of CES in terms of smartphones. i don't see any other phone that comes close to what it offers. flagship specs in compact design. pretty amazing. and IPS display, waterproof, gloves mode, premium design, decent camera, etc. the perfect phone for people who doesn't like 5" display phones but want to latest specs. in my opinion it takes the flagship status from Z1.

I'm more referring to a windows 8 tablet, that is smaller than the vaio tap, and less so the tab z refresh.

I noticed Sony naming scheme has gotten worst. Who comes up with those names. Z1 Compact, Z1s. Sounds weird.
Hope Sony can improve on that part.
