LOL, oh dear... this wasn't that much of a wayward shot, just people being stupid enough to try and get a better view of the 'action':

This tannie got a little too close to the action when her head intercepted an errant iron shot from Tiger Woods on six during today's Open:

I guess she'll think twice before trying that again ...

@ gola:
Was it that good? I've heard a lot of people raving about it; I thought it'd be some horribly cheesy, 'plastic', vehicle-to-robot-type version of Power Rangers or something, but it would seem that I may have been a bit too cynical and ignorant.
I remember Transformers first appearing on the scene around 1985, if I'm not mistaken. There were many sold in toy shops like Reggies etc. (Redgwoods back then.) It's great that the initial concepts or fad didn't really die off over time as such. The fact that they've created an entire movie based on it over all this time is surely testimony to that.

@HOBBS: I'm tempted, Vodacom won't be getting the E90 for a while. About the Motorola they gave me, it had me reminiscing about the time I owned a Motorola "Jazz" back in 2000...it was a crappy phone- did nothing but calls and sms...and seven years later nothing much has changed for entry-level Motorola's...Granted the C118 is much smaller but it's still as crappy.
They've added a crappy game so you can ease the boredom when you're waiting in line for your phone.

Here's my experience of my N70 post fw upgrade: It seems faster but we'll see about that as time passes. The music player icon is different, they've loaded a whole lot of Vodacom junk on the phone- will have to delete that meerkat. Thankfully I backed up my phone data...when I got back this afternoon I simply slipped in the USB cable and all my contacts and settings were back in place.

@gola: I'm watching the Transformers movie this Tuesday- yes, I'm a cheap skate.

Perplexed!!! That's what i am... Wanqa, when you mentioned the price of the Harry Potter book being so drastically reduced by Walmart it rang a bell... there's a term for that strategy used by Walmart, but i'll be damned if i can remember what the term is!

Hobbs, it's fantastic that the lightie is so into that book, you ought to capitalize on it and get him to read more, he's off to a good start.

Brix my boss has a T39m in perfect working order. Why dont you try Cell and Leather at Grand Central(the entrance to the station) on your left. They got a team of Pakistani's and one of them should be able to fix it.Good deals there.I got my 1gb memory card there for R299.00 when i had my Nokia 6680.Was a Sandisk.Worked really fast. You dont always have to pay those ridiculous prices you get in your Cellucitys ect Give them a look at.You might just get lucky with the T39m or find yourself a bargain.

Expansys have dropped the price of their remaining P990i stocks to below the £200 mark now.
They now retail for £195.95 (approx R2745).

@ Kryptik,
Unfortunately I'm not too familiar with Walmart phrases, as there's none here when they already have Asda. Asda have however proven themselves to be the cheapest of all the supermarket chains here for the past 7 consecutive years. With Walmart as the parent company and related buying power, perhaps that's no surprise, I guess.

They've also now struck a roaming deal with Vodafone and now we have another new network... Asda Mobile:

So now the 2 biggest supermarket chainstores have their own (virtual) cellphone networks. (Tesco being the other one).
