Hi anyone used Unlockit.com who for a reasonable fee are offering update to latest firmware and complete debranding from thier server.

I had this trouble with new SEUS software and found out via SE website that for P900 and P910, there is a weird extra step:

(taken from http://www.sonyericsson.com/s[....]1&pid=10183&fid=21839&esi=true )

For P900/P910.
If the PC Suite is installed, follow these instructions:
1) Double-click on Phone Connection Link in the system tray.
2) Un-tick the USB port.

It sounds bizarre, but it does work. The SEUS software then finds my phone.

Having said that, I CANNOT get Debranding to work. Has anyone definitely been able to make it work with the new SEUS (v 2.2) software? I really hate the Vodafone software on my phone, and I've actually switched to T-Mobile, so Vodafone software is nothing but a nuisance. Can anyone help please???

Thank you.

debranding does not (yet) work with seus2.2. You will have to send it to one of the many places that do debranding.

Is there no way to get a hold of the old SEUS, 1.8 or something like that? Would that still work?

I still have the 1.8 installation files somewhere, but with nothing for it to connect to, its not a lot of use.

You mean that even if you have the Seus 1.8 installed, it wont be able to connect to the SE server? It only accepts connection from the new client?

If so, they probably knew what was going on with the Debranding and all, so they prohibited it...

exactly, and exactly. Its probably just a co-incidence, but the debranding had worked for at least a year via SEUS, but when this particular thread popped up, it was shut down in a couple of months......

Thought so.... what a bummer..

I guess they are watching us now as well ) We might be famous....

But to be serious, I hope someone will be able to hack the SEUS so that Debranding can be carried out. I dont mind Locked phones, this is for Providers to make sure the user wont ditch them after two weeks, but the branding is BS in my point of view.. Specially the Vodafone one, so ugly.
