mmr-60's have been recalled in Brisbane, has anyone else heard of mmr-60's being recalled? Maybe there have been some faulty batches slip past quality control?

That's strange. There is no "Contact by Email" in Sony Ericsson website. It's been removed . And they didn't answer my question that I asked bofere the Email link was removed.

I checked with SE in the US and they said that there has been no recall on this.

I just got mine today. Its silver in color and not the white that I thought it would be. I'll do some testing and let you guys know how it is.

Yes it connects to the phone using fastport.

@kbb_bkk

does your mmr-60 have a fastport connection so you can plug the charger in while it's connected to the phone

so no recall in the US then? That's a good sign. It's hopefully only a local batch of faulty units we received in brisbane.

unfortunately it doesn't. Once you connect the fm transmitter, then nothing else can connect to the phone.

I must say that I'm somewhat dissappointed with the MMR-60. The strength of the transmitter doesn't seem to be that strong. And I'm not finding the qualilty that great also.

However, this could all be due to the fact that I couldn't find a clean station as every other station has some broadcast on it.

reception is improved a lot if you turn off the display light on the mmr-60 apparently. However lack of strength is also a common plaint in reviews (see the review thread for the mmr-60)
