We all have to join together to get them to change their minds.
While I can understand your disappointment, it does not make sense for SE to include the A2D profile in the w810i eventhough it seems appropriate. The k800i is the next step and having the A2D profile in the w810i would take away potential sales from one of SE's flagship phones. I do not believe SE missed the boat but simply made a biz decision. I had the w810i but I wanted the ability to stream BT audio so I sold my w810i to a fellow Esato member and bought the k800i. Sorry to sound harsh but this would appear to be the only option.

Still it renders any other bluetooth headset out of date and also any ipod, so you could sell them both on ebay and probably afford this new bluetooth and a bigger pro duo card.
all in all big smiles
Rendering an iPod obsolete has been the mantra of the mobile phone media player proponents for quite some time and Apple is still gaining marker share. iPods serve a different function as do phones. I have both a k800i and a 60 gig iPod with Video. They are in no way similar other than the fact they can play music. I can watch a video comfortably on my iPod but the screen on the k800i is a bit to small in my opinion, not to mention the fact that there are no 60 gig M2 cards out there.

yes it does, also if you select stereo widening you hear it in the headset too
Many thanks for that masseur. l did read somewhere that this didn't work with the headset, but they were obviously wrong! What is stereo widening btw?
Stereo widening is the process of subtracting information from either side, left or right thus creating a wider sound stage. At least this was how they did it in the old days.

did anybody succeed in pairing this headset with a PC such that not only the headphone is working but also the mic?
This would be necessary to use it for bot hearing stereo and VOIP.
thanks

The DS970 works even better with the P990 than with the M600! The bass is better and fuller sound.

Hehe mate i was just about to say the same thing, ive been using mine with the k800i and its nice on that but on the p990i it sounds brilliant.
Although one tiny problem i have found is that if the phone is in your back pocket the sound drops out, well it did on my k800i but havent tried it on the p990i yet....have you noticed anything like that Jah??
