now.. they wont downgrade the cam version back... or atleast we wont call it update. but then i guess theyll make adjustments to the still image qualities and maybe decide that the K750i vid dont need that much attention. id still go for the good stills.. wont you guys?

its really a doom to downgrade still image quality in an existing imaging phone. to sacrifice k750 for its successor is a pity. anyway its everyone 's option to have a fw upgrade. i just hope a better one come soon.

or it is better to forget k750 and go to k790. whatever your choice, its a technology mindset.

quality picture though is for everyone. i'll just wait for my turn.

So what does camera version 5.3 mean? Someone said the quality of the video increases, but others said the video quality decreases. Which one is TRUE?...I have no special tool to understand this by myself..By the way, is it technically true that the still image quality decreases? What tool can prove that?

As R1CA021 is now available in FR_1 version, I decided to give it a try, even if I was pretty scared by what QuickShare™ tend to say... To me the camera is just an option, but a GREAT camera is a GOOD option I appreciate.
I read different opinions on the russian forum (I found the URL here) as well as other photo samples and decided that I could live with a little quality loss (if any) but would like to benefit this "reccurent events" feature I really missed (because I use quite regularly the Organizer).

So I decided to do things well and make my own photo comparison (sorry, I forgot to make a video comparison: I barely use this feature).

Here is the result (3.86 Mo): http://rapidshare.de/files/22[....]50i_Photos_Comparison.zip.html

x1.JPG : taken with R1BC002
x3.jpg : taken with R1CA021
Ax : light source in the dark (I was expectnig much more noise on this ones...)
Bx : mainly shows how important the framing in tests is important... (it explains all the differences to me)
Cx / Dx : normal / night mode
Ex : Using MXE-60 flash...
Fx : Macro mode with MXE-60 flash

Why a x3 and not a x2 serie to compare to the x1 serie? Because at first I was so anxious to see the results of my comparison that I shoot the pictures too quickly. As a result the comparison was awfull: R1CA021 pics were so bad that my immediate thought was "QuickShare™ was definitely right!".

BUT, I saw blurred pictures and decided to shot them all again, trying to be as still as I was during the 1st serie. As still and with the most exact same subject. It was important because the ligths in this room are artificial, so, having no global illumination, the more (or less) light you have in your scope, the brighter (darker) and the clearer (noisier) result you get...

Finally:

PHOTO: to me, quality is the same. Or, at least, I can't decide if there's really a loss... I can't see it if there is one. So I'm happy.

VIDEO: I played the only video I had on my phone: the original one... To me, it's really smoother. But as I made no full play/record test...

JAVA: Applications are quicker than before: quicker to load and games are smoother to play. Not a "so big" difference but an improvement all the same.

ORGANIZER: I can't find this "recurrent events" feature!!!!! Just the one I missed so much! Did someone find it?

For the time being, I found nothing else, but I'll be searching.

Hope it will help others to decide whether or not to make this upgrade.
