when you take a picture... why do i always get a red light coming out of the back of the phone... and how do i get flash to work... i can't get nothing out of the back of the phone other than a red/orangey light .. so i can't take pics in the dark.

i'm pretty sure that red light is to help the phone focus.
all real digital cameras have it... i know my Sony DSC-M2 has it.
it comes on in low light for me, and helps with the focus and maybe to meter the light.. i'm not sure though.

Yes, the read ligt helps the AF to focus correctly. The xenon flash only kicks in if the camera considers the light too poor (there is no manual setting for it, which is a bit of a disadvantage).

i have a picture of bournemouth beach on my k800 from yesterday as well... taken from west cliff which i think is where you are... freaky!

i live in lansdowne and soon winton.... how about you?
