Should we uninstall Swiss Manager to try the trial?

Quote:Should we uninstall Swiss Manager to try the trial? No, the two programs can coexist, you can even run both at the same time (although no much reason to do it).

Hi,

I just installed SwissPro and I really like it. One thing that would make me buy it is a shortcut (like ALT-M, or "Click the wheel"-"Press the back button") to start the "icon menu".
I have a vodaphone branded (crippled) M600i and the SwissPro would be perfect to make my phone more usable.

Quote:a shortcut (like ALT-M, or "Click the wheel"-"Press the back button") to start the "icon menu"This is one of the "most wanted" features. Unfortunately the new platform security regulations grant keypress recognition only for Symbian Signed programs. However, we try to resist making our releases dependent on an external authority. A workaround will be included as soon as it is found. For now, you can just touch the screen icon for the same effect.

Does that mean that you will not sign your programs? Are the costs that high?

Quote:Does that mean that you will not sign your programs? Are the costs that high?Yes, the costs are unpleasantly high (see details in symbiansigned.com). In addition, the procedure itself is slow and inconvenient in its present form and tends to seriously disturb planning. Moreover, the costs and all the hassle are recurring for each single release of the same program, meaning that any simple bugfix release would be again hampered by the procedure. This situation is one of the reasons for having such few apps for UIQ3. Many developers are going out of the platform, for good reasons. Looking at the other side, end-users are now half-excluded from their own phone (like not being able to look into certain folders), and all this is because of pressure by GSM operators who are fearing of losing control.

If you get shortcuts for it??
Unfortunately the SwissPro icon is too small to tab it with my thumb. For now this feature is not useful for me then...
