Nah, just tell windows to remove the device first.

Sorry if this has been asked 'so' many times, but just how do you update the phone.

Ive installed the updater software and I get to the screen where it shows me to take the battery out and remove sim card, replace battery and insert it into the holder - which I do.

Windows makes that USB attached sound and then nothing happens, all there is on screen is the instructions with the back button.

All help gratefully recieved.

Thanks
Sarge

that is fine, but I usually am lazy and do not that with any other USB connected device. I just unplug the USB and go. I never had any issues, nor crashes b4, so I just unplugged the phone and it was OK, even the Windows did not crash

And have you pressed C?
Is there any way of fixing touchscreen, I mean the x,y coordinates. When entering service menu / service tests / touch screen, it seems it doesn't want to work in the upper left corner; if I press in the left corner the point appears near left, if I press in the down side of the screen, I have the point below, in the up side it's above, in the right side the point appears near right.
P.S. this isn't related to the latest firmware release cause it's like before updating.

@Sgt_Wilson:
You're sure you're holding the C key all the way until the screen changes (could take some 15-30 seconds)?

I would love to do the update, but I really need to know if blackberry enterprise will work. Has anyone gotten it to work?

Do I need to hold the C key down if using the desk stand thing?

yep. but hold the key C b4 you plug the phone into the stand, AND keep it pressed while plugged in the stand. Just watch the the Update program on the PC and only release the C when the update program tells you to. NOT before.

Okay, now I have too updated to the latest FW. First off, its as crappy slow as before. If it is indeed faster as some say, then perhaps in milisecs!
It already crashed once and I definately do NOT have more ram available after a reboot then before!

I could not find any 'new' features or upgrades so far. The only thing is this icon via USB and the Online icon. Nothing of any importance.

I and certainly many, many people were desperately waiting to get this FW and improvements. Nothing worth while so far.

I will check during the day and write it down if I find something worth

Just hopig that others will indeed find some REAL improvements not just 'personal and subjective' once. It is easy to 'imagine' when you don't have any Benchmarker or other utility to really check!
