The Nokia e61i certainly appears to be my dream phone. I'm very encouraged by these reprots.
Question: I am on Orange and make use of their Line 2 facility (i.e. 2 lines, + dedicated Fax number and Data number all on one SIM). As a result, I am not able to purchase the E61i sim free as my understanding is that Line 2 etc... will only work on a handset supplied by Orange, due to the tweaks they make throught the branding process.
My question is 2 fold:
a) Could anyone in a similar situation confirm whether my understanding of the situation is correct.
b) Any insiders care to speculate when Orange may introduce the E61i?

I have to say the Keypad is actually one of the things that has impressed me the most so much so that i have sold the SU-8W. Although the keys look quite small in use they are just great and have a really nice feel IMO and make data entry a joy. Also i am loving the fact that in the Calendar when entering times you don't need to do anything other then press a number key as the phone knows that is what required pretty smart really even for a smart phone.

Best bet is to contact orange and see if they are going to stock it... if they arent get as many ppl u know on orange to ask about it an if they have enough they will eventually release it... lol...
an u r right bout the line 2 thing... it is indeed firmware related but again check with the Nokia Service Center near u as they might b able to activate the feature for u!

Thanks for your answer voda_jon
Of course, I could call Orange to ask, but especially these days I wouldn't trust them to know where the fire escape in their call centre is located, let alone when a new model may be released.
Unless the info you require is slap back in the middle of the screen that they use to handle incoming calls, it would be more use asking a lampost (+ a lot cheaper and less time consuming).
I shall just have to wait and hope!

With regards to the price its different for every country and network but generally it should be between £200-£300...

Hey guys I got my E61i. It takes $415 in Bangladesh. It has 256mb memory card. The question is I got mono headset. I can't understand why it is come with this. What you people have? Is it stereo or mono? And while a call, the incoming sound is little bit with extra treble, I’m not sure; I’ll check that later with another operator. Here is some picture of mine.
