I wouldn't be 100% sure of Fring working on the P1 as it seems they have to alter most versions for different handsets it is not one version for each OS.

Actually good point though i thought the white paper said that the P1 had built in VOIP or even Skype any news on that anyone.

Guys, does the P1i have Word and excel viewer as standard on the phone?

Like the P990 and M600 before it (and the P910 for that matter) it will have Quickoffice included in ROM - which means word and excel viewing and editing. It will also allow powerpoint viewing.

I've done basic editing on the powerpoint as well, it allows you to delete slides you want to omit from the presentation

P990 fring version might not work on the P1, but fring is making a P1 specific version, they said that...

Thanks for the answers guys. Alas, I just spoke to t-mobile and it seems they will NOT be stocing the P1i! So, now they have NOT had the P990, W950 and will NOT have the P1i. Hopefully they WILL have the W960

What I would like to know is if it has any generic SIP client so I can use my home phone VoIP, from any WiFi hotspot (like international airports, McDonalds and so on)? I would prefer not to have to use Skype out since I have better deals on my home phone.

Anything like this on your prototypes?

With "document to go" one can also edit text in powerpoint slides.

Is the clock only visible in "stanby" like the P990? I really miss having the clock on the status bar as my old A1000 had =(
