I just check on davinci to see if a new firmware is released.
Dont know when there might be a new one, as I dont know of many bugs in it.
I more buggy phones K850i got more frequent firmware releases, but as what I can see the G900 is stable enough,so probably less frequent updates.
When was the R9L004 and R9M003 released?
I think there was about two months in between their releases.
It would be handy if there was one G900 thread with a list of firmwares like other SE phones.

This firmware seems pretty stable, but I hope they fix the flash brightness in the next update. What I mean is that when I take a macro shot with the flash ON, the picture turns very bright even when I set EV to the minimum (-2.0).
Here is an example:
P1 with flash ON and light setting on the minimum
G900 with flash ON and light setting on the minimum (EV -2.0)
This is the biggest bug for me in this firmware, there's no other major bugs that I noticed.

the bug with the flash overbright was also in the first firmware ,even the proto g900 at the begining in reviews it showed the same problem.
i hope it gets fixed in the next fw too.
off: i noticed that the macro (better said close-up) mode in G900 isn't as good as K800 (the one i had before) or the W810, K550 or p1i. to get a sharp shot the distance between the camera and object is bigger than in k800 case or the others. maybe this will get fixed with the new fw...i hope

madhosh121, you should change your CDA to Generic World1 and then you can update, read the topic from the beginning.

I found the tutorial for changing the CDA to WG1, it seems a bit complicated, try it at your own risk:

Well, I got it to work for my G900!
Thanks to
mut@nt and also this other poster on another forum (who also learned from
mut@nt's method).
Here are his directions, a bit more detailed:

As for my personal input, it seems the part to highlight is the biggest misunderstanding. You don't just highlight the CDA version, you have to highlight from the 2 dots before the first of the four versions (after the 'K'). Highlight all of that to the end of the CDA version, then calculate the checksum, and use the two digits under Checksum/Digest to replace the two digits in the box after the '000D' one.
This is my first time at anything like this, and I did it, so anyone should be able to. Good luck my fellow G900ers!
