I really wanted C905.. it's got everything that i need, practical w/ java platform, not too slim (i like the bulk feels like a real rugged gadget, and less chances of me losing it since i'll always feel the weight in my pocket (or absence there of)
However, reading upon these issues, and comments of SE going down the drain w/ their durability and stuff, im really getting put off
I'd like to know if these issues are same w/ us in Philippines or just UK w/ voda, orange and other stuffs
I terribly need a phone NOW, and i've scoured all available options w/ my needs and likings (excellent camera, wifi, gps, good price, fast acting, java, etc) and THERE's NO OTHER CHOICE
but this.. but im not gona spend my hard earned money on a phone plagued w/ issues

Not all the phones have issues, infact most of them don't. the reason you see a lot of complaints here is because this is a forum for help with mobile phones. If you really want the phone, buy it, just make sure you get a warranty

Got my C905 back from carphonewarehouse the other day after having the earpiece problem and all seems fine at the moment. Since i've had it back the d-pad seems to be a lot more responsive and get a satisfying click in all directions. Also since having it back i can now watch videos on youtube! Dont know how that happened as it only went in for repair for the earpiece.

OT:
funny you should mention the new 5800 .. I hate nOKIA! but having tried this phone personally at the mall yesterday, and with no other options for me but the C905, I'm so close to crossing over..
e5800 is just marvelous.. if it wasnt for the EXTREMELY CRAPPY photo capabilities, i'd jump on it already..
Back to topic:
me and my friends visited the mall to check on the live demo unit of C905 yesterday.. I was excited! like a little boy visiting the candy shop.. but soon as i got a hold of the phone, it's like that little boy ended up in the dentist's clinic..
it was pathetically slow!!!! it's "oh my gosh" slow! .. my dream phone.. is a huge disappointment at that moment.. openning the menu.. clicking into them.. openning the sms folders, etc.. the photo browsing was fast though but everything else is just unacceptable..
I'd like to know if this is normal for the unit or if there's been firmware that made C905 faster? I'm talkin about 700-1200 milisecond delays enterring menu.. and similar figures throughout the experience (except for photo viewing)..
i'm used to my 5 year old K750i and boy did i expect i better experience on the mighty expensive C905
