All my fellow members, just to remind you that no one is perfect and so is not SE. There is some problem or the other in each and every electronic device that comes up. Take for example iPhone4, finally Apple admitted yesterday that they do have problem after weeks of denying. The difference is SE is not publicly admiting but at least trying to fix.

The phone is not that bad. I bet no happy user will every join a forum. If they join, they will just publish photos or looking for latst software. If you refer to the photo thread here in the Symbian Forum in Esato, you will understand what I mean. Majority of the publisher in that thread is not the ones who participate in other problem threads... !!

What I am trying to say is that yes there is problem, SE may be fixing (I am optimistic being a SE fan for last 5 years), SE is doing a big mistake by not publishing their plans and upgrading to Sybian^3.

In my country, i can't test the phone because there is no 30 days return back warranty.
I have to buy it contract free & it cost me a lot. I cannot test it & return it if i don't
satisfied. How i should i know if it contain lot of bugs?? The phone should work as it advertised.

Or Buy an android phone, thats what I did, I bought a Desire two months ago for 320€ and will sell the satio to a friend of my brother..... for 210€ (including ProfiMail) . In October 2009 I paid 380€ and that is definetly my last SE Phone, after T68i, T300 ,W800i&W950i (I loved all of them expect the satio.....).

I used to have the phones till they broke...... but now...... I am so disappointed...

cheers,

marcel

there's no way to be sure, but all i can say is my Satio works perfectly.
it doesn't crash and i haven't come across any bugs.

You can see from the Satio camera thread there a many happy satio owners. I think the chance of getting a lemon is small.

Also, Sony Ericsson warranties should be valid in any country. Even if your country doesn't have a legislated warranty, I imagine Sony Ericsson's manufacturer warranty would still be honoured by SE.

I must say the N8 looks impressive, does it set a new standard beyond the satio, it seems too

No more updates for my Satio ? oh well, it doesnt need updating anyway. Thats my Satio anyway. Im happy with mine for the most part. Its very stable, fast and as good as i can expect.

Id still go for a N8 over a Satio though. Theres not a single advantage the Satio has over the N8. Whilst the N8 has many new features brought to the table by Symbian 3.

By the time I can afford a new phone again, I'm hoping SE's new flagship camerphone will be out, and hopefully wp7 or symbian 3, or even android (though I'm not a big fan).

Well it might be the case that Symbians days are numbered by next year since Nokia said they were only going to use it for their lesser handsets.

So i wouldnt expect too many SE handsets using it.

that's interesting, so Symbian looks to be rather dead in the water. I wonder if we will see a Nokia WP7 phone in that case? Or will they go all Android?
