Arc's camera is bad! just do your homework and check gsmarena's comparison. I've done my homework and prepared a 100% crop comparision from these gsmarena shots. Anyone willing to see please pm me your e-mail address. Arcs sensor is inferior to SGS2's, but better then lg2x. The problem is arc's photos are so small in size and optimized for viewing on the phone. Stop telling anyone that arc's camera is its strong point, because it's not true. I love its design, but won't buy it if the don't tweak it's camera drivers, because Exmor-R sensor seems to be almost as good as SGS2, and it seems that it's post-processing that makes photos form arc look so bad
Have no idea what crap you're talking about.
Maybe you're blind. But I've seen alot of night shots of camera phones and these are one of the best.
I watch them on PC and they look very good. I'm not saying that there are no other great night shooters,
but please don't say that cr..p. All of the digital camera photos are compromised in many ways, it's just a digital photo with relatively small sensors. But these photos look very good. I can send some or just look at originals.

So you have to make them do it.
And believe me after processing those photos will look like Arc or even worse in crops.
Every processing also destroys some details.

maybe yes, maybe no. But I'm perfectly sure that Arc is theoretically capable of taking much better shots than it does right now!!! And I don't see any reason to make sgs2 shots look like arc ones. I'm used to natural dslr output:)

The comparison with any dslr is idiotic TBH.
We talk about capable shooters making more or less good, ready photos.
And these are great on Arc.

I don't think so, as some phones produce similar results. Fanboism is so dangerous:( Who says phots from n8 or sgs2 aren't ready? Yes they are, but have a very natural approach, no sodium glutamate, just seasoning:)

Arc camera is a bad camera. user marcink is right. Photos are good only downsized.
Take a look here
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsu[....]lg_optimus_2x-review-585p3.php . Xperia Arc is third. From my opinion Samsung g s2 is 1 place, lg optimus x, second and xperia arc is in last place..

For me they are very similar:
There are two things i notice:
The first one is that in the Photo detail comparison, the ARC is better than the SGSII, and the second one is that the metering is not set up correctly in the ARC, you can notice this very easily comparing the focus in the middle of the scene and then comparing the same on the sides, the ARC is obviously working with Spot metering, and you can notice it in the flowers image, you can see tha the flowers in the ARC are more detailed, it seems that the SGSII is using a different metering method.
The good thing is that you can set this up in three different modes, so you should have no problem when taking you pics, what i don't know is wether it changes if you select other different scenes, i supose it does.

SE Arc:

LG Optimus:

Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II:

Galaxy II the winner for me followed by LG Optimus. The worst is Arc, less details and too reddish coloured.
