thanks for posting sample photos taken by your Arc S. Can you post some low light scenes as well? Appreciate it.

New user reporting in. I came from X10. Can't stop saying 'cr@p' when it comes to camera performance. Will post some sample shots in the Arc S photo thread soon.

Will follow you soon Mode, I already made up my mind and my iPhone 3G[S]'s battery seem can't handle it task when come into 3G, probably this coming February.
Only hope the Arc S will not suffer from case cracks as it predecessor Arc, only matter to turn me off and heading to Droid RAZR from Motorola instead.

@mode: So, the camera in the Arc is inferior to the one in the X10!?!?!
What about general responsivity?... can you say it is definitely faster than the X10 in day to day use?
Thanks!

Guys,
I think the sensor is worse than X10, but they've made optimisations to make up for it. I remember purple fringing on the Arc I tested for a week a few months back and it had purple fringing which is a hardware issue, but apparently it's gone in my Arc S, I wonder how SE did it. And Arc S has lens blur around the edges whereas X10 stays sharp throughout. Arc S images has lesser detail, but that's due to the high compression so I can't really say for sure if they had the same compression.
I think Exmor-R makes it possible to have bright photos that are sharp. But the trade off is noise which is too obvious and kills what it's selling in the first place as it can easily be achieved by many high end devices by increasing the EV by which you'll get bright pictures with noise! The strength though is it can afford to have high shutter speed meaning sharper pictures
It does have more options in the settings to play around with and a better flash for sure. For now I'm dreading to let my X10 go tomorrow (selling it), but that's probably because I haven't really warmed up to it just yet...but for now, I've posted some comparison shots in the Arc S photos thread so you might wanna check it out there to decide

From what I have seen the Arc,Arc S,Neo,Mini,Mini Pro etc all have had worse cameras compared to x10. I have tried them all
But the best camera on all the new Xperia models surprisingly that I used was the Ray. Have yet to see any images from the new Xperia Pro which was the one I wanted but I went for GS2 instead. Not sure why the Xperia Pro is not getting much headlines. GSM Arena said the camera in the Arc S was worse than the Arc.
