Currently I am suffering with an Xperia mini pro which I upgraded to ICS
I'm currently thinking of either the SP or the V. I haven't seen the SP in person yet and only one retailer has it online here in Egypt. But as a comparison I've held the V and the Ion and have to say I prefer the V. Or is one hand usage something I shouldn't really think about?
Currently the V goes for $425 and the SP $500. I hope the SP will drop a bit as it becomes more widely available. Is the SP worth the extra price? Anyone know how the screens compare?

A family member is planning on buying this phone unlocked to use on the USA T-Mobile Carrier. from my info, I think the C5302 version is capable of 3G and HSPA+ (4G) on T-Mobile. I wonder if there are any issue or something I need to know first. Anyone can tell me anything about the SP on T-Mobile USA?

Yes, C5302 is HSPA+ supported, but I would recommend to looking for C5306 which has full US LTE bands supported for instead.

V has five LTE bands supported with it slightly inward-curve back design.
SP has six LTE bands supported with aluminum bodycase, but backcover is plastic.
V is super light-weight but in contrast SP is quite heavy, bit more than Ion.
Both has same CPU dual-core Qualcomm Krait configuration but SP has upper-hand in GPU department (Adreno 320) which is in supremacy class in today mobile gaming, if you put into consideration.

Well, I didn't even know there was a C5306 version, but while it may have full LTE bands, it probably won't work on T-Mobile USA network. it requires the 1700/2100 mhz band for the HSPA+ because, as T-Mobile states, it's not a full 4G LTE network yet and will fall back on the HSPA+ when making phone calls. the 4G LTE is mainly for mobile data. I read about it on the T-Mobile USA website regarding it's 4G/ 4G LTE networks.

Oh, I see it my fault and you right about HSPA+ 1700/2100 supported on T-Mo.
Sorry for that, sometime US networks is complicated for me.

has anyone here tried the new firmware for the Xperia SP (12.0.A.2.220)??
was wondering whether they have noticed much difference especially in the camera image quality....the only thing stopping me from getting this phone is the camera image quality, would love if the firmware update fixed that! i believe the sensor itself isnt that bad

have been using SP for months.
I thought I will migrate to HTC One but in the end I still stick with Sony Mobile
even its no longer sonyEricsson
I am happy with the camera...... its better than my Neo even it is having same 8 Mpx.
the only complain I have is last week. something weird like dust show up underneath my touch screen
its on the LCD since SP didn't have the LCD laminate to Touch panel like Z.
I have dust show up on my Neo previously and this time on LCD for SP
this is the most annoying part.
also on the glass for the camera seem to be easily scratched.
but so far I still able to get good shot. This is just two picture I took recently at Phuket, Thailand
