^ In terms of JPEG the 1520 is on par with the Z1/Compact phones... very little difference. Once you start taking RAW images and post processing its kind of no contest.. you will always be able to get the better image out of the 1520.

I am thinking of going for a Lumia 1520 as my next device. I love it & on Amazon it is only £375
Looking forward to all the new overdue changes in WP 8.1

Been using my 1520 for two months now, absolutely the best device i have owned. I have kept my Lumia 1020 but just do not use it anymore. Sold a One Max to fund this and never looked back. Its only going to better when 8.1 arrives soon. The screen is just phenomenal and the camera beats everything else apart from the 1020, it makes pictures taken the Z1 camera look very average, no softness or blurriness on the image edges like the Z1. Low light video recording isn't great but in sure an update will rectify that.

Its the best post-Symbian Nokia device thus far...
I think that the Icon is better, but can't really count that one in since its only offered by one carrier in the world.
If the rumors about the international ICON (Lumia 930) are true then we might have something better.. we should see it @ BUILD next month.

I am curious how is Icon better than 1520 as I thoUght that it is essentially a smaller Lumia 1520 minus the sd card?

I agree, I had mine for almost 3 months now and I am very happy. The only niggle with mine is that a few times it seemed unable to find network after being into a no signal area for a prolonged period - however I read online that it helps to set connection to up to 3G if 4g coverage is poor so I did that -hopefully it helps. Other than that it is great -I wish it had xenon flash though- still low light photos are pretty good

Thanks for the feedback guys. I did play with one of these twice now and love it. I didn't find it that big but I have big hands anyway. For a while now been happy with my LG G2 but with the 1520 and the WP 8.1 arriving I want to go try WP again my old fave OS. Only niggle I have is that they don't yet have my Nationwide banking app on WP but I can live with using the browser. About the signal I have often found that to be a problem of many Lumia phones is signal can be quite weak ever since the days of the Lumia 800 not as strong as the old Nokia phones used to be. Maybe it's Microsoft software who knows

This review says something that is wrong with WP using 6 inch screens. Apart from more tiles on the start screen the rest of the O2 shows the same amount of information on the screen as a 4.3 inch screen, only larger.
