Like I said hardly anything running in the background just standard What's App and Facebook Messenger. And as I said battery is poor for a heavy user like myself. You said your a medium to light user. As for QHD well let me tell you this. Apps not being optimized properly yet. For example my Nationwide banking app didn't fit the screen right and the menus and text came out too small. Looking at photos and videos you cannot tell the difference unless maybe it's very high quality pre recording of video but photos also cannot really tell much. It's not needed on such a small display and I won't ever buy anything over 1080p again. It's pointless.

No offense Bonovox but your statement about not being able to tell the difference when viewing high quality photos and videos is your opinion hardly a fact. I agree about some apps not being optimized though for the qhd screen but i expected that - this is the 1st phone with such a screen- i am sure though that with more phones with such a screen coming out the more oprimized apps there will be.
And lastly i have more than 50 apps on the phone, 3 email account and i still have more than 450 mb available of free RAM so your situation is obviously not reflecting on everyone else.
So to be clear while i am not disputing what you are saying at all - i am saying that i have a different experience with LG G3

Wrong,the Oppo Find 7 is the first before G3 with QHD screen. The only difference I could see was in the embedded videos on the phone that's all & yes I was wearing my glasses. In everyday usage browsing,photos etc I can hardly tell the difference & that's that it is not worth the battery drain. As for RAM well it is the case with mine with only Gmail,What's App & Messenger running. For some reason with LG & Samsung so many app seem to run in the background even when you have not even ever used them or started them. Which version do you have the 3 gig or 2 gig ram?? I'll go back to Windows Phone it's more reliable

I was referring to the first phone available here in UK. Anyway i stand by what i said before - with high resolition photos and videos i can tell the difference. That being said it ia not as obvious as it was from hd to fhd. I have the UK version (2 gb of RAM) . I am a bit sorry i didn't buy the 32 gb version though (with 3 gb of RAM) as i noticed that there are moments when it is dropping below 400 mb of RAM. One thing that i did straight away though besides changing the launcher was to remove the news feed page . Maybe thats part of the reason why i am getting more RAM?
Anyway good luck with WP 8.1 Nokia Lumia 930 is very nice and cheap! £419 at CPW and £349 at EE. I would have bought one myself if i didn't have the lumia 1520. Just wish they gave us Nokia Cyan already

@Bonovox
With what you wrote to me in mind, I didn't have high hopes for a contrast rich display.
The sales representatve really tried to convince me that my Note 3 produces oversaturated colours. He continued to mention how oversaturated colours are until I decided to tell him that I have change my colour setting to neutral.
We loaded up Ninja Turtles trailer #2 on my Note 3, LG G3 and his M8. It ended up with him admitting that the colours were indeed underwhelming compared to the M8 and the Note 3.
On highest volume its speaker even gave distortion sound

From the tests performed here
http://www.anandtech.com/show/8169/the-lg-g3-review/2 it doesn't look like G3 display is inferior to Note 3 in fact in certain instances it appears superior
Also in terms of speaker they seem evenly matched:

To be honest with you I've reached the point now where I find the majority of so called top class mobiles are always a major let down. I've recently began to not care anymore. I've always been happier with a mid to low end Nokia Lumia or something which I never have any issues with and of which still seem of decent quality. I've tried another top tier flagship and frankly their all shite. No device is perfect but every new device in my view seems to get worse. The bottom line is now Bonovox no longer gives a monkies ass about who is better than who
We buy new devices and next month it's obsolete (am looking at you Sony)

Fair enough. So what next if you don't mind me asking? Lumia 930 or waiting for autumn to see if anything better is coming along?

Well I had the same on the G2 under KitKat more ram used in standby. Things like FM radio would always run by itself even though I had never once used it and it woupd keep restarting all the time in ram. Could not disable it either. That's what bugs the hell outta me with Samsung and LG Android phones so much crap is running in the background even when never used. All these LG or Samsung apps running but never once used. You can only disable some of them but Samsung and LG are rhe worst culprits for this.
