This is interesting... might explain why most "like" the gold variant of s6.

Samsung seeing huge demand for gold Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, taps psychologist to explain customers’ color psychology

Samsung appears to have struck gold with the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge as customers around the world clamor to get their hands on the company’s new flagship handsets, and it appears the Gold Platinum color option is particularly performing well. Samsung’s latest smartphone sales data shows that one in four consumers (23%) went for the Gold Platinum Galaxy S6 and S6 edge which is why stock in this color is either sold out or nearly sold out across markets in Europe. The company says that it is having to intensify its production to Gold Platinum just to keep up with demand.
To explain why customers are likely to choose one color over another Samsung tapped
British lifestyle psychologist Donna Dawson to explain customers’ color psychology. According to Dawson people who choose
gold are “striving for prosperity, financial success and general contentment.” They also tend to be warm, outgoing and appreciate the company of others. Customers who go with
green are more likely to be balanced, loyal, hard-working, honest and concerned for others.
“People who choose Samsung’s
Blue Topaz as their preferred color are self-confident, fastidious, discriminating, sensitive, exacting, and intuitive,” says Dawson, adding that they long for personal security and need to be loved. Dawson brands people who choose
white as their preferred color as status-seeking extroverts who represent honesty, purity and wisdom with a mix of brashness, overconfidence and an open nature. Last but not the least, the psychologist says that
black has “always been the color of choice of the loner, rebel or “outsider,” and those who work hard to be recognized for their individualism, independence and their ability to stand out from the crowd.

Nice set of shots from the s6! Thanks for sharing.
Can't wait for that camera update. I wish they'd give us full manual controls... so I can set the ISO to any value I like. (like 40, in most of those shots)

Android 5.1 OS update for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge confirmed: Rollout to begin from Canada

Samsung Galaxy S6/Galaxy S6 Edge to get Android 5.1 soon(Samsung)
Users of Samsung's high-end Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge are in for a treat as the Android 5.1 OS update is confirmed to reach the devices early next month. An official listing on Rogers' – a major wireless service provider – community forum states that the roll-out is expected to take-off from Canada.
According to Rogers, its Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge subscribers can check for the Android 5.1 (Lollipop) OS update in
early June.
Currently, both of the devices are driven on Google's Android 5.0.2 operating platform out of the box.
However, there is speculation that there could be a minor change in the Android 5.1 roll-out time frame, if some unwarranted difficulties crop up.
But with a Canadian roll-out of the Lollipop update imminent, it should only be a matter of time for it to reach users in other countries.
New enhancements offered by Android 5.1
The latest Android 5.1 (Lollipop) update fixes some bugs inherent in Android 5.0 and Android 5.0.2, while adding the following features:
Fixes app termination bug
Fixes Wi-Fi not connecting issue
Improves battery management functionality
Returns Silent Mode feature that was absent from Android 5.0
Issues in "OK Google" voice-command addressed
RAM management improved
Fixes audio/multimedia-related problems
Wireless connectivity bugs fixed
Enhances notifications
Regular performance/stability improvements
Apart from the above features, the Android 5.1 offers a brand new
Guest Mode and a
RAW photo snapping capability.
With Guest Mode enabled, multiple users can log onto a smartphone, get divided memory and will be able to install customise applications.
