Orange are releasing the SPV 2020 (same as XDA II). I posted it here.

definitly an interesting comparison psikey... when I think that I have my ipaq in my hand much more than I have my T610 I wonder if I would make the same choice?

well I guess I won't know until such devices can be bought unlocked and sim free...

I would say reception was better on XDA2 (but might be O2 vs Orange thing).

P900 screen better than P800, more colours deffinetly make a difference(XDA2 still better).

Thanks... I guess XDA2's screen is still better because of the fact that it is more of a PDA..

So are the MS programmes in XDA2 taking up too much Ram that even a 64MB ram with an Xscale 400Mhz sometimes still chokes?

If so, i would say that it is true that Microsoft software are encoded to eat up alot of memory.

It actually has 128MB and it could be conflicts with third party software I installed.
You don't get that total reliability feeling like you do with P900.

One thing you can't do with a P800/P900 is in car Navigation (TomTom) navigator.

Other things that are still missing for me (to trow my PPC) are :

- Pocket Quicken counterpart
- Wi-Fi acces

Wayfinder, see here http://www.totalpda.co.uk/productview.asp?section=1&id=4425 is like TomTom

It is odd that TomTom has not been ported to UIQ as the original version of RoutePlanner was for the EPOC platform only!

Microsoft = More capabilities = More Memory Usage = Needs a powerful processor = More Power Consumption = Short battery life.

Battery life matters for a mobile device... look at the SPV... some of my firends who have it says it only lasts for a day. People who have the pocket PC also says battery life sucks! I wonder how the major phone maufacturers (Samsung, Motorola, etc.) will fare with their upcoming MS phones.

I still cannot make up my mind!

Can anyone say how the XDA II compares with the nokia 3650 in terms of size? I have a 3650 and I wanted to see how big the XDAII is relatively...
