@Sunil: That's maybe cuz this interface (the same on the T series and on Z1010) is very good, very intuitive and easy to manipulate that

doesn't need to pay extra cash for Symbian.I know, maybe the applications will not be as many but i have no prob, I hope I'll buy a S700 at the end of 2004 even witn THIS interface. And it will be the best non-touch screen phone anyway

The SE user interface of the mid-range phones are very good, why change that? The flexibility of the software in T610/T630/Z600 is top-notch and I've no doubt about that the UI will be just as good in the new phones. Series60 and SymbianOS requires a lot more from the hardware.
And why Series60. Sure it's got quite a few programs, but so does UIQ. And UIQ v3 will work with both touchscreen and "standard" keypad-phones.

@tao980: yes, that's the official news cuz they have to be in line with the other Orange networks across Europe. What I've been told today by the CS at Orange is " no plans of delpoying it yet, as there's no demand from the customers."
Orange is data orientated company but EDGE is not going to be implemented too soon, as they told me, no matter what "the news" r saying

i do wish it offered edge to watch streaming video on though. you know that's going to be the future.
What about SE Z500 then ? It's aimed for NA and has EDGE. It seems like SE is pushing (or will push) EDGE phones on markets like NA where EDGE is
or will be available soon.
naaaa. the z500 has half the screen size "only" 65k colors, vga camera (not 1.3mp), and is a clamshell. i don't do clamshells. it's not worth getting the z500 just for edge. i was just wondering why not ad edge to the s700? its got everything else.
