Talking about design.. I agree with Silex that the keypad design of K700i is ugly. By my opinions the most beautiful keypad design has 1) T39m 2) T68i.
And all design of K700i is ugly. T630 was quite nice (read: normal).
Also it's true that K700i is a bit fat to feel qood in your hand or pocket.
It has been discussed before, but I have to say it again: when Ericsson joined Sony, Sony ruined the good design of last Ericsson models. Mobile phones of Sony has always been mostly ugly, now also phones of SonyEricsson.
I guess, Japanese just have different taste of beauty. Unfortunately.

hey friend, i do hv contact with K700 (my gf's). so sometimes her phone problems become my problem.
i hv never said the K700 is crap. i'm saying the phone has problems but u dismiss them without due regards.
Actually
the K700i has no problems.
Your girlfriends does - not everyone elses.
I dismiss those problems you've highlighted because every K700i i have used have not had any of those problems. My K700i certainly has none of those you mentioned.
So you cannot say all K700i have the same problems, only certain early batches which always happens when a new product comes onto the market.
Anyone remember when the Playstation 2 was released ? many people reported the console dying on them. When i got mine 2 months after release, all the early problems were fixed and mines never broken down once.

3) If you're fond of quality, after one of two months, you'll be angry because the rubber Quickshare sticker does not stick well enough. After resticking it 3 times, you'll ask yourself why you bought such a phone. The hole on the back of the phone for the camera will also be full of dust.
I took the rubberpiece from nokia 6210/6310 that protect the external antenna...fits perfectly on my K700i´s lens.

well isnt all this arguing very silly? why start a post slagging off a phone which hundreds of people on this forum have just bought and are well chuffed with?
your points were so lame you may have well said "Pc users will be disappointed. not only are games nothing compared to Doom3 on my radeon 9800 pro, or the resolution nothing compared to my 21 inch 1920x2000 flatscreen, but it doesnt even have a qwerty keyboard!!!".
it has to be said however that your worst reason was the trendsetter one. Anyone who considers themselves a trendsetter, nay anyone who considers themselves even slightly fashionable because of the look of their phone is whats officially known as a geek (although i dont think thats a harsh enough word).

So u r saying the K700i is the perfect phone with no bugs. And you are telling everyone who is having problems with the K700 to blame themselves for being the idiot that cause the problems themselves.

Yes, we do have a different opinion on beauty. But I never heard anyone to complain that T68m / T68i has awful design.

@ mib..
Why don't you and your girlfriend spend a date at the local SE Service center and get her phone upgraded to the R2L firmware..I understand that it solved most of the problems people quoted..!
If you get that done and then crib its Ok...But just staring at your PC..and uselessly posting and arguing will not solve your problem although it increases your Posts..!
So Just think about it..and get the Phone upgraded...

No, what im saying is some K700i phones (the first batch) only seem to suffer from such minor problems. All the K700i's currently coming out appear not to have them. Its a simple case of get your firmware update, and in future buy your K700i a few weeks after release to avoid early teething problems. Remember the hissing noise the T610 made when it was first released ? i waited a month until the problem was fixed, and mine was perfect.
If you still have problems after the update, take the phone back and demand a replacement for a more reliable unit.. like mine !
