TomTom Mobile 4 for series60 and windows mobile smartphone 2003 had their own GPS receiver in the package and was only meant to be for that. Than some cracker came around and other users could just get the software from somewhere (P2P etc.) and use it with other receivers.
With TT M5 they put the option for other receivers back in it but the package will only be sold in the first couples of months with a GPS receiver which is not bad. It is not sure that they will release only a software version.
But hey, they cracked TT M4 to soo...... (I don't say it but you could guess what I mean).
Guess what, TTm5 has been hacked there are keygens (for series60 I think) on the web...

Ha, yeh you're right there are! Is TomTom 5 the one that's gonna be released for UIQ or is it different? Apparently the crack/ keygen thing isn't working too good tho...

Hi Nils 7
Shouldn't TomTom for UIQ for the SE now be well on the way? Any news yet, or of your preview?
Thanks!

I'd be interested to know too as I'd like to see some comparisons to the route 66 version (due to be in stock within the next couple of weeks)

Well TomTom isn't coming soon it is finished don't know what it takes so long... I know when but I've been restricted now

but I don't think it will be in time for the vacation!
SE guys had a look of it today and they liked more than R66 but R66 is quicker in the shops

Thanks Nils - what sort of features is it going to have that r66 doesn't (to the best of your knowledge and what you're allowed to tell us about!)

That is something we can tell:
- Landscape modus and portrait modus in four directions
- Different UI. Route66 is build in the phone UI. TomTom uses standard TomTom UI.
- Speed camera's
- Downloadable voices, maps, map colours, updates and POIs
- TomTom Weather information
- Route demo
- Intinerary planning
- Lighting preferences with respect to the routing chosen
- Planning preferences: Bike routes, Limited speed, Avoid motorways
- Navigation on postcal codes in NL and UK
- TomTom Tips
- Reset factory settings
- An enormeous amount of voices (around 40)
- 20 languages in the application
