I can't see a reason to hope. if this announcement was scheduled on June 17th and there weren't smart phones presented, then nothing will change in the next few days. It had to be all in one big presentation or it will be on some further date.
EDIT: I meant really new smart phones, not G700 BE

The C905 was designed and will be manufactured in Japan.

probably it's SEs strategy to introduce one flagship at a time so that it's own product won't steal eachothers thunder. That is proven by another announcement next month if rumor is true. Can anybody confirm the july announcement for P10?

Why be upset at the cancellations? If your on this forum then your getting inside information not many others do get. But SE is just like any other huge company at the end of the day, it's full of company politics. So if someone high up cancels or delay's these phones it'll be for some dumb ass reason and they don't give a crap about the developers as they see it they get paid at the end of the day either way. How ever SE has announced the Xperia and G700 and G900 so far, one being there first Windows mobile and the other 2 being the first smart phones aimed at a wider and different market. That is 3 new smart phones at different markets in the first 6 months. And it has just launched the best camera phone on the market.
Paris and Beibei are not supposed to exist as far as jo public goes, so they can cancel or postpone what they want. I would imagine that we will see more releases before the years out and isn't the X1 due for launch in September anyway?
Just remember SE didn't buy UIQ for nothing.
