Not necessarily, the same OS is within the W900 & the M600 the latter will have Blackberry connect support so its not a total waste or R&D Mula $$. The project could be shelved and production lines could be altered for a slightly different design. THe M600 is less than half as thick, and I believe the camera is slim enough in the P990i & I am enclined to believe the wifi is a chip (not a chipSET) with a connection to an antenna which could be redisigned to be thinner but rerouted along the outter hull of the P990i to reduce thickness by 20%. Oh how I wish.

Is the P990 already approved to be used as a transmitting device ? If yes we may just see it in july but if not then the end of the year is a more likely date. What is that certificate called anyway ? (FCC or something like that - can anyone help with the right name ?) After that network tests will take place. Are there any networks testing the P990 ? Greetings from a cloudy South Africa. Mario :-) This message was posted from a Nokia 7650

I havent seen anywhere that SE said M600 will be out before P990i.
I think you should wait until 2Q because SE havent said it will be delayed to 3Q so best thing to do wait until june. CPW release date always not accurate.

Just been speaking to T-Mobile uk ... there not even testing the thing yet !

Personally, I'm getting more attracted to other phones/devices by the day. At least they are available.

The p910i was discontinued about 10 months ago now .... surely they should have at least updated it one more time if there was going to be this sort of delay (aka p900->p910 update)... but methinks that SE is terrrified of having dead stock so discontinuing models far too early.
