the R1CA037 is like not so better off from the R1CA029....it seemed that pictures taken went bad to worse....
I think my previous k750i or my k800i would do better....
Felt like i made a stupid wrong decision...
From k750 to k800 to dopod D810(Jack Of all trade except 2m camera),now to k850.....
and after "updating" to R1CA037,my app all gone....no games,no app....just an error msg....

OK - 038 now d/l and installed on my T-Mob K850. Hopefully it'll solve the random rebooting
issue - fingers-crossed anyway!
Changes I've noticed
- the cosmetic changes to the text 'Aa' icon
- loading Java apps - despite the new Java engine and faster benchmarks I find this is slower now - I use Google Maps and Google Mail quite a bit on my phone and I now get a 'please wait' message for quite a few seconds before the app loads - on first running them since the update it even had a progress bar (as if it was re-installing the apps) and took so long the screen dimmed down!
- they've fixed an error in the contacts - before when I went into contacts and typed 'dad' it would, on the 2nd 'd', jump to the next entry in the address book. It now stays on the correct one.
- media - photos definitely loading much better, whole thing feels more responsive. Still get the nice effects when browsing too (I know someone earlier in the thread mentioned they didn't).
- permission for apps to access internet - despite selecting 'ask once' I still get asked every time I run an app and it wants to access the net - it's like ask everytime has been selected. Do others experience the same behaviour?
- might be my imagination but I feel video recording is smoother
Cheers
Alan

yesterday I wanted to send a pic to my comp via bluetooth but when i went into the media player all pics , music etc where showing as 9% !! why ?
All the pics where there but only showing as 9% until I went into the file, never seen it previously.
I also later got the message saying insufficient memory and that I needed to delete , whch was not true, as have over 50% memory left on both phone and card, at that time all had on was bluetooth and was trying to browse pics .
Also just noticed that my phone is showing 48% power but I charged it fully last night, mmmmmm

I'm on 'R1CA037 prg12004400_GENERIC_SO', does anyone know if I can upgrade from this firware to R1DA038 yet? I've tried SEUS and FOTA and nothing

I'm wondering if I've messed something up within the phone on revious flashes to make it think it's always gpt new firmware (??)
