Nothing wrong with my MIUI 2.5.11 rom.( Downloaded from the Miui website).Pretty happy with it.Not sluggish at all.Where did you download yours from? Do you have a link? I'm still pretty new to the world of MIUI but isn't Galnet part of the MIUI Scotland branch making the rom you installed an unofficial one?

This is the rom I'm using.Not that you can remember,but is it the same one.Is the Build and Kernel the same?
Ive tried many different combinations to work around the fact that this MIUI rom doesn't have an app draw.At first I found it strange but then realised you don't really need one.I've removed all homescreens but one.I have all my most used icons like Contacts,Messaging,Gmail,Whatsapp,Camera,Playstore,Zplayer.All my other app have gone into a folder called Apps.For a quick search of an app I just now use the Search icon.I have one widget which is the MIUI clock mainly there for quick access to set alarms.Nice,simple and clean.

One thing that is a major attraction to this rom is the fact that some things don't look anything like Android or Samsung.A good thing if the sight of both is starting to make you get itchy feet to look elsewhere.The gallery been a perfect example.

MIUI US or MIUI Android ROMs ont have gb localizations which is annoying, Galnet does. I used siyah kernel with DXLP9 baseband. Sadly all Sammy MIUI ROMs are based on DXLP7 FW which is old. Thats why Id rather have AOSP MIUI.
@Hobbs - yes, same build.
PS. The only official source of MIUI is MIUI.cn. The rest just translate the UI and apps + add things.
The ROM gets an update every Friday, hence 2.5.11 - May 11th

All major menus like your Dialpad,Phonebook,Messaging,the Notification drop down page ect now has this calm white background with orange lines and highlights.At least thats the way it looks with the default theme.I also found the Zegoe Light font in the Theme Manager that is used on the ZUNE.I've got font size on Huge in Settings.Only wish there was a Gigantic setting so I could get that WP look with HUGE text.Using Messaging as an example of white/orange background.

Thanks for the info Lollylost.This the first MIUI rom I've used so any tips and tricks are welcome.Must say I have no lag issues at all.Maybe messing with your build.prop files messed things up.
All these screenshots and user experiences must be boring the hell out of you.If it is just tell me to shut up
When I find something I like and think is pretty awesome I like to share.It helps for anyone who is going to try a custom rom to get a clearer picture of the rom before they flash it. (there are so many roms out there to choose from so it helps to give as much information I think as possible)
OK,I've run 10 Quadrant Standard benchmark test and here is my Lowest score and some of my Highest scores.9 runs scored over 4000 (the highest been 4184) and 1 run scored 3995.We have lift-off
Best Quadrants I've gotten in a long time.I used to get these kinda scores with the G2 on Gingerbread running Checkrom Revo HD.Consistent.No big drops or rises.

I have an upgrade in 14 days but the way things are going with my G2 I think I can happily terminate and pass on the G3.
Ok,so I also ran 10 Antutu Benchmarks and its pretty much the same.Very consistent scores.Lowest score 6294 and all other 9 runs over 6300 the highest been 6351.
So far MIUI 2.5.11 is living up to my expectations.And the fact that everything works and theres no need to constantly be out there looking for fixes for issues or finding workarounds is a welcomed relief.

I'm back to stock ROM, sadly (XWLPD). The battery life on custom ROMs is absolutely ridiculous. Only on Stock ROM I get half decent battery life.
