Don't understand most of the posts here. What's the attraction of USB C as well ? Does it do anything in the context of a phone that the old port doesn't, or is it just "newer" ?

only real benefit to type C for mobile phones, imho, is that it is reversible and would allow for faster charging. having to make sure it's going in the right direction is a pain but a minor one. the fact that it can transfer at high data speeds .. so what? you can transfer 1gbit speed over wifi and do so regularly. with 802.11ac you can theoretically transfer just under 7gbps over wifi. to use USB-C you'd need devices that have the port, and with it being so new, it's unlikely you'd have any that do now or in the near future.
the rest of the things are no big deal.. again.. imho.
looks like i'll be hanging onto my Z1 a bit longer.. perhaps for Z5?

Like I posted many posts back, until devices start shipping with the new type C usb, phone manufactures will not be adding the new port. Hopefully once computex rolls around in June, more companies will add the port, so then at ifa we might see new phones with type C finally.
I'm curious if OnLeaks will actually post photos of the Z4.

Sony need to bring some new features to their phones if they are gonna survive in the smartphone market.
They need to keep the SD card slot and waterproofing for starters.
Maybe they could put 6x or 8x times advanced zoom on the camera or something? That would be a great feature.
Also, they really need to sort their LED flashes out. The Xperia S and Z flashes were so weak and the ones on the Z1, Z2 and Z3 are only a little better, the Xperia T had quite a good flash.

^yeah..
i think it wouldn't be difficult for them to add a second LED to give more power and place it further away from the lens to reduce light bleed.
I think what sony needs to do is be the best in the basics. best screen, best speakers, best camera, and speed/power. this will get reviewers talking and giving it great reviews. then one really wow feature on top of their already top in class waterproofing.

Sony Mobile will also further strengthen the functionality of built-in smartphone cameras, optimizing on Sony's advanced optical image technology

I don't believe that much since they had been saying those things for years. There are a lot of things happening behind Sony's HQ and a statement from a general manager is hard to believe but then, the triluminous technology was spilled by a general manager too so its possible.

Unfortunately, Sony's Jpeg engine is far from great, even in the new A7II. They actually need someone who develop the OM-D series, who can work magic... the ones who manage to get better software optimization for a m43 sensor to give the same output as a FF sensor.

G flex 2 review
http://www.theverge.com/2015/3/13/8206953/lg-g-flex-2-review
Vlad says no overheating and the cpu is stable, but mentions there is lag in the software which brings up the question, what is to blame the skin on top of Android 5 by LG or perhaps throttling of the cpu in order not to overheat?
