you see, i was impressed by the flawlessness of my old T28, its a very faithful little ting, must av dropped it a million times and it reamined loyal to me and always worked... i think its feeling depressed because i've replaced it with a T68i, so its started refusung to work unless i find the mysterious phone lock code.

i think its got a life of its own, in fact i think its HAL 9000... i got it in 2001... now its spazing out on me. at least i'm not trapped in space.

Me > "right ya little basta*d, let me put this fekking sim card up your arse so me poor old mother can bring you back into useful service"

T28 > "i'm sorry nine, i can't do that"

are there any phone psychologists in here?

off topic a little but i discovered something today:

my younger brother has a Genie line too with free sms and wap.

he started getting delivery reports on his phone a few days ago and noticed he was getting charged for sms...after a call to O2 he was told he'd sent 394 sms between August 1st and August 8th and so was now being charged til the end of the month when the free quota starts again.

so sms delivery reports do work on O2 paug, only when your being charged to send sms...hmm.

@Nine...

I can see the problem here... your little guy is feeling very rejected, he obiously feels neglected due to your new arrival. He feels threatened by it's presence you see so now he is demanding a mysterious code so he can test your faithfulness to him by tracking down this very rare code.

You could also try smothering him with gifts, buy him a handsfree kit or FM radio or something and see if that helps

viper, you're probably right. however i've decided to look at this from another point of view, i'm going to continue to be strict with the little bas***d and i'm gonna leave it in the dustiest place i can find, no more nights of luxury in its original box, no no.

meanwhile i'll continue to search for the code while it thinks about whats its done. hopefully it'll come round soon and be the cheery little chappy that i know and love. but just to be on the safe side i'm gonna keep a knife by my bed at night - just in case it turns psychotic.

proves one thing to me - ericssons technology is far too advanced for its own good. we should take this as a warning and all be careful around these gadgets. especially now they can talk to each other with all this blutooth and IR sh*t. i bet they're all talking to each other now, plotting how to really piss us all off. yes, i'll be keeping a very keen eye on these tings from now on...

paranoid, me??

Paraniod?? It's unsafe not to be! I think the approach you are taking is quite extreme, but obviously you know him better than me so you know what will work with the little blighter!!

And about them talking to each other..... MMS (Mobiles Murdering System) they will be able to send pictures of victims to each other!!! I can picture the scene... you are walking down a back alley, slightly drunk comming back from the pub. You hear a slight scrathching noise, your phone beeps. You look at it but there is nothing. You hear the scratching again and think that it must be a cat. Just as you convince yourself that it's nothing THEY POUNCE!!! Hindreds of T68's appear from nowhere, knoking you down, bludgening you with their rounded heads whilst they take turns to take photos of the event and MMS it to their friends who could not attend.

If i had a T68, i would lock it in a lead box and sink it in the sea, as far ot as possible, where nobody can save it...........

my god, lad! the T39 is one of the most deadly of them all! i would advise you to treat yours with extreme caution. NEVER underestimate the power.

i think my T68 is planning something, i played one of the variations of solitaire on it today and for the first time ever all the aces were hidden at the bottom of the piles so i could not finish the game. odd, very odd. and it refused to send an SMS, i must have tried 6 or 7 times but nada. its slowly cutting off my connection to the outside world and demoralising me with unwinable games.

the "T" prefix is even spreading to mobiles from different manufacturers, look at samsungs T100. i predict a great war, not between the isrealis and the palestines, but between humanity and "the T's"...

we must act now if we are to survive as a race...
